Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty With FiberTape® Cerclage for Proximal Humerus Fractures

Charles J. Jordan, MD (Miami, FL), presents a case in which he incorporates FiberTape® cerclage into a reverse total shoulder procedure for a proximal humerus fracture. Dr. Jordan uses FiberTape cerclage as a prophylaxis against the propagation of existing fractures during humeral preparation. To repair the tuberosities without drilling additional holes in the humeral shaft, he uses the tails of the FiberTape cerclage as vertical sutures for added stability.
