
Christopher Adams, MD

Dr. Adams was born and raised just outside of Buffalo, New York. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, and a shoulder surgery fellowship with Dr. Stephen Burkhart in San Antonio, Texas. For several years, Dr. Adams lived in Jupiter, Florida, where he had a very active clinical practice treating patients with shoulder problems. While running his clinical practice, Dr. Adams was also very involved in research and teaching shoulder surgery all over the country. In 2014, Dr. Adams joined the Arthrex Medical Education team to pursue his passion for education.

Marc Stoll, PA-C

Originally from Hollywood, Florida, Mr. Stoll earned his physician assistant degree from Nova Southeastern University (Florida). Mr. Stoll began his career in orthopedic surgery in 1999 with a busy orthopedic group in Fort Myers, Florida. He has extensive experience in sports medicine, adult reconstruction, orthopedic trauma and extremity surgery. Mr. Stoll was also active in providing team medical coverage for the Minnesota Twins, Florida Everblades hockey and local high school teams. In 2010, Mr. Stoll joined Arthrex Medical Education in support of the Sports/Arthroplasty team and in 2017 has transitioned to manage the Foot and Ankle division.

George Rego, PA-C, MPAS, MPH

Mr. Rego practiced clinically as a physician assistant for more than 10 years in Naples, Florida. Originally from Hialeah, Florida, he completed his medical training at the University of Florida College of Medicine and was awarded with a master of physician assistant studies degree. Prior to entering PA school, Mr. Rego received a bachelor of science degree in biology and a master of public health degree from the University of South Florida. As a PA, he has worked in the fields of gastroenterology and pulmonary medicine, but spent most of his career in orthopedic surgery. Pursuing professional leadership positions at the highest levels, Mr. Rego served as the vice president of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA) from 2002 to 2004. He served as president of FAPA for the 2015-2016 term. Mr. Rego has a special interest in hip, knee and shoulder arthroscopic surgery. Mr. Rego currently serves on the University of Florida’s School of Physician Assistant Studies Alumni Advisory Council. Jay Kaszyca, PA-C, MPAS

Mr. Kaszyca is originally from Port Huron, Michigan. He pursued his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and he went on to earn his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Before joining Arthrex in 2014, Mr. Kaszyca spent his entire 10 years of clinical practice in orthopedic surgery, where he specialized in knee, shoulder and hip sports medicine as well as knee, hip and shoulder arthroplasty. During this time, he was very active in state and national physician assistant professional organizations, and was elected to serve as the president of the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants from 2013-2014. From November 2016 to September 2017, Mr. Kaszyca served as the Medical Education manager for Arthrex APAC based in Singapore. During that time he helped to build and implement the medical education program for the ArthroLab Singapore, which supports the subsidiaries based in Japan, Korea and China, and distributors throughout the ASEAN region.

Michelle DiLella, MD

Originally from Port Huron, Michigan, Dr. DiLella now makes her home in Naples, Florida, after joining the Arthrex Medical Education team in 2014. Dr. DiLella began her medical career as a licensed EMT in Michigan. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in human biology from Michigan State University and completed medical school at St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine in Grand Cayman. Dr. DiLella initially became interested in musculoskeletal medicine after being exposed to the field while competing on the national level as a gymnast. Her current focus is in surgery of the foot and ankle, hand and wrist, trauma, orthobiologics and ultrasound. With a true passion for teaching, Dr. DiLella is a certified basic life support instructor and enjoys volunteering in the community.

Dan Veronie, PA-C, MS

Born and raised in South Holland, Illinois, Mr. Veronie obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2005 and 2007, respectively. He became certified as an athletic trainer and provided sports medicine coverage to Chicago-area high schools and outreach programs until deciding to further his education as a physician assistant. Graduating from Rosalind Franklin University in 2012, Mr. Veronie began his physician assistant career in Greeley, Colorado, primarily in sports medicine, while assisting in the trauma, arthroscopy and upper extremity departments. He returned to the Midwest and focused on his sports medicine career in Grand Rapids, Michigan by practicing with two fellowship-trained sports medicine surgeons who specialized in shoulder, knee, and hip arthroscopy, including cartilage restoration and biologic augmentation. Mr. Veronie joined the Arthrex Medical Education Sports and Arthroplasty team in July 2020.

Jay Peterson, PA-C, MSBC

Mr. Peterson is originally from Warren, Michigan. He received his bachelor’s degree (sports medicine/athletic training) from the University of Detroit Mercy and master’s degree (physician assistant studies) from The Medical College of Ohio (now The University of Toledo). Before joining Arthrex in 2020, Mr. Peterson gained a wealth of experience both in orthopedics and physician assistant education. His clinical work in orthopedics includes 8 years working alongside a sports medicine fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. His PA education work experience includes serving in Assistant and Associate Professor positions as well as Founding Program Director of a PA education program in Michigan. He has been active in state and national physician assistant professional organizations. Mr. Peterson joined the Arthrex Medical Education Sports and Arthroplasty team in July 2020.

Ryan Westbrook, PA-C, MS

Mr. Westbrook is originally from Fairfax, Virginia and received his masters of science as a physician assistant from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 2007. Mr. Westbrook spent his clinical years in a busy orthopedic trauma practice at a large regional trauma center. His love for education developed while working with orthopedic and podiatric residents as well as serving as adjunct faculty for the PA program at George Washington University. He joined Arthrex Medical Education in 2015. In addition to his passion for orthopedic trauma, Mr. Westbrook provides surgeon education for subspecialists in foot and ankle.

Amanda Salandy, PA-R, MSc

Mrs. Salandy completed her education in the UK and relocated from England, where she was born and raised, to the U.S. in 2015. After completing her bachelor's degree in anatomy and human biology at the University of Liverpool, she went on to work in the physiotherapy department for a specialist inpatient rehabilitation unit at Isebrook Hospital, Wellingborough, UK. With a passion for health care and medicine, she continued her studies at the University of Birmingham, graduating with a master’s degree in physician associate studies. Excited to work in orthopedics, Mrs. Salandy was the first UK-trained PA to work at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) in Stanmore, UK, where she joined the Foot and Ankle team and gained invaluable experience in foot and ankle conditions from her supervising surgeons. Mrs. Salandy joined Arthrex in 2016 to work on the Distal Extremities Medical Education team.

Ryan Shamus, PA-C, MPAS

Mr. Shamus has practiced as an orthopedic physician assistant in Southwest Florida since 2005. A Miami, Florida native, he completed his undergraduate study in physiology/kinesiology at the University of Florida. He continued his studies at the University of Florida and graduated with a master’s degree from the university’s College of Medicine. Mr. Shamus has a focused interest in total joint arthroplasty as that was the majority of his practice. He has assisted in more than 10,000 joint replacement surgeries. Mr. Shamus joined the Arthrex Medical Education team in 2016 as a Clinical Specialist and then transitioned to manager of the sports medicine and arthroplasty team in 2020.

Justina Heidenthal, PA-C, MPAS

Originally from Indiana, Pennsylvania, Ms. Heidenthal earned both her Bachelor of Science and Master of Physician Assistant Sciences degrees at Saint Francis University (Pennsylvania) in 2005 and 2006, respectively. Prior to joining the Arthrex Medical Education Sports and Arthroplasty team in 2016, she practiced orthopedic surgery and traumatology in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for 11 years. In her broad scope of practice, she spent several years working at a Level 1 trauma center with the orthopedic trauma service and five-plus years practicing with a sports medicine fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and knee arthroscopy, as well as musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Timothy Roberts, PA-C, MPAS

Mr. Roberts is originally from Long Island, New York. There, he obtained both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Physician Assistant Studies degrees at Stony Brook University. Mr. Roberts has over nine years of experience as a board-certified physician assistant in many areas of medicine including emergency medicine and pediatrics, but most of his career was spent working in orthopedics. He has practiced in the subspecialties of spine surgery and pediatric orthopedics but spent the most time specializing in foot and ankle trauma, reconstruction, and sports injuries. During the last few years of his clinical practice, Mr. Roberts also established and ran a walk-in urgent care orthopedic clinic staffed completely with physician assistants. In 2020, he moved to Naples, Florida to join the Arthrex foot and ankle medical education team.

Ron Kmiecik, PA-C, MPAS

Mr. Kmiecik is originally from Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska earning his Bachelor of Science in Biology. He received his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from The University of Nebraska. Mr. Kmiecik has worked in orthopedics for over 11 years with an early focus on arthroplasty, sports medicine and upper extremity. His most recent focus has been in the specialty of orthopedic trauma. Mr. Kmiecik served as a clinical instructor and adjunct faculty for both the Creighton University PA Program and the College of St. Mary’s PA Program. In 2022, Mr. Kmiecik joined the Arthrex Medical Education department supporting the trauma division.

Mike Fisher, PA-C, MPAS

Mr. Fisher is originally from Canberra, Australia. He relocated to the United States to play collegiate baseball in St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training and a Master of Arts degree in sports management from Lindenwood University. He worked as an athletic trainer for several years prior to attending the University of Utah School of Medicine, where he graduated with a master’s degree in physician assistant studies. Prior to moving to Naples to join the Arthrex Medical Education department, he worked in a spine, general orthopedic and pain management clinic in California and then in orthopedic trauma at the Andrews Institute in Pensacola, Florida. Mr. Fisher has published several articles and is a current reviewer for JBJS Journal of Orthopaedics for Physician Assistants.

Rainer Zeis, MD

Dr. Rainer Zeis is originally from Valencia, Venezuela. He now makes his home in Naples, Florida. Dr. Zeis completed medical school at Carabobo University in Venezuela. He completed his orthopedic residency at Doctor Carlos Arvelo Hospital in Caracas, Venezuela. In 2008, he completed a fellowship in sports medicine and adult reconstruction in Colombia. Dr. Zeis spent 7 years in private practice, focusing on sports medicine, trauma and arthroplasty at Atias Clinic in Caracas. He spent 5 years in Central University as Clinical Professor in the Orthopedic Surgery Program. Dr. Zeis joined Arthrex Medical Education Team in 2018 to pursue his passion for education and provide medical education in Latin America.

Jesus Sevillano, MD

Dr. Sevillano is originally from Caracas, Venezuela. He worked as a consultant for Arthrex for five years, participating in corporate courses for Latin America. After working in our Mexico City subsidiary for more than a year, he now makes his home in Naples, Florida. Dr. Sevillano attended residency in orthopedic surgery at Miguel Perez Carreño Hospital, Central University of Venezuela and Perez de Leon Hospital in Caracas, Venezuela. In 2004, he went on to complete a fellowship in sports medicine and adult reconstruction at Advanced Orthopedic Centers in Richmond, Virginia, with Dr. Richard Worland. Dr. Sevillano spent 10 years in private practice, focusing on sports medicine, orthopedic trauma and arthroplasty at Policlínica Metropolitana in Caracas. His professional activity outside the operating room includes serving as president of the Medical Society of Policlínica Metropolitana in 2013-2014, and scientific coordinator of the Shoulder Committee for the Venezuelan Society of Orthopedic Surgeons from 2013-2014. Dr. Sevillano joined Arthrex in 2014 to provide medical education throughout Central and South America.

Dr. Cody is originally from Cali, Colombia. He now makes his home in Naples, Florida. Dr. Cody completed medical school at University Cooperativa de Colombia. He spent his early career as a medical doctor at San Pedro Claver Hospital in Bogota, Colombia. His orthopedic experience began in 2005, when he made the move to become a clinical specialist and regional sales manager for an orthopedic medical device company in Jacksonville, Florida. He then spent several years focused on orthopedic surgical soft-tissue repair and orthobiologics for domestic and international markets. In 2012, Dr. Cody joined Arthrex as a clinical specialist, supplying educational resources to orthopedic surgeons and Arthrex business partners in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Luis Alberto Espinoza Lira

Mr. Espinoza, who has practiced as a surgical technician for more than 5 years, is originally from Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, where he trained at Hospital Espanol. Before moving into a sales role, Mr. Espinoza worked more than 1500 knee and shoulder arthroscopy surgeries. He began working for Arthrex Mexico in 2003 as part of the sales team and supported medical education activities through 2009. Mr. Espinoza has participated in surgery skills courses, lectured on surgical techniques, and taught arthroscopy skills. He moved to Querétaro to work in Alianza Médica SA de CV for a year. Upon returning to Arthrex Mexico, Mr. Epsinoza continued supporting product specialists and sales supervisors. In 2014, he moved into the role of clinical specialist for the Arthrex Mexico Medical Education team, with a special interest in shoulder and knee arthroscopic surgery.

Mr. López has worked as a technician for more than five years and a sales representative for four years. Originally from the State of Mexico, Mr. López has worked more than 1,300 surgeries in the field of knee, shoulder, and foot and ankle arthroscopy. Prior to arrival at Arthrex Mexico, he participated in counseling activities for doctors, specializing in shoulder and knee arthroscopy. Mr. López joined Arthrex Mexico in 2011, where he became part of the sales department as a sales representative until 2015. He left his role in sales to become part of the Medical Education team as a junior clinical specialist. Mr. López is interested in sports medicine surgeries.

Jonathan Hernández, MD

Doctor Hernández is originally from Coahuila and relocated from Mexico City where he completed his education. Dr. Hernández obtained his bachelor’s degree in UNAM, during his major he went on to work in surgical training at different hospitals. Then he worked for a third party by COFEPRIS for three years where he helped other companies to get their medical devices and drugs registration approvals, among which orthopedic devices. Motivated by treating patients better, he joined Arthrex in 2018 as a Clinical Specialist providing Medical Education with special interest in shoulder, knee, hip and distal extremities arthroscopy surgery.

Markus Kowarsch, MD

Dr. Kowarsch is originally from Heidelberg, Germany, and now resides in Munich. He attended medical school at Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg and went on to complete his dissertation and graduate from Heidelberg University with a doctorate degree in orthopedics. Early in his surgical career Dr. Kowarsch served as an orthopedic and traumatology surgeon in the Kantonsspital of St. Gallen, Switzerland, The University of Innsbruck, Austria, and The University of Mannheim, Germany. After becoming an orthopaedic surgeon, his interest in sports surgery grew as a result of his service to the German Ski Association as an alpine ski instructor and his passion for sports. Dr. Kowarsch joined Arthrex in 2006 as a senior product manager for knee and hip arthroscopy in Munich. To pursue his passion for education, he transitioned to the Medical Education team in 2010. Dr. Kowarsch is active in managing sports surgery surgical skills courses throughout the EMEA region.

Henrik Röhsler

Mr. Röhsler is originally from a small city near Dresden, Germany, and now makes his home near Munich. He began his career in musculoskeletal medicine in 2006, after studying and becoming certified in physiotherapy by the German State. Mr. Röhsler has worked in a wide range of professional settings, including supporting athletes and sports teams. He also has worked at University Hospital in Munich supporting orthopedic surgery groups before joining Arthrex in 2014. Since 2017, he is responsible for the veterinary field as well. Mr. Röhsler travels throughout the EMEA to support medical education courses.

Lars Kreiselmeier

Mr. Kreiselmeier was born in Schweinfurt close to the famous Franconian wine region in the northern part of Bavaria. He studied sports science with a focus on prevention and rehabilitation at the Technical University in Munich. As a trainer for visually impaired athletes he was part of the Nordic Paraski Team Germany and guided his athletes in Nordic skiing and in athletics. During his career, Mr. Kreiselmeier worked at a famous Munich sports store as a specialist in running and skiing. Prior to joining Arthrex in 2010 he worked as a sales representative for sports medicine and as an ArthroLab coordinator. In 2015 he joined the Medical Education Team as Clinical Specialist for Sports Medicine and Arthroplasty instructing surgeons in surgical techniques and managing national and international courses run by Arthrex. Since 2017 he has also provided support in the veterinary field.

Sonja Obeser

Ms Obeser originally comes from a small town near Augsburg. Today she lives in Augsburg. She is a Bachelor Professional of Health and Social Services (CCI) and completed further training in the field of radiation protection. Before joining Arthrex, Ms Obeser worked as an operating theatre assistant (OTA) in the operating theatre of an orthopaedic clinic. During her time in the operating theatre as a second or third assistant in surgical procedures, she was able to gain experience in endoprosthetics and arthroscopic surgery. Today, Ms Obeser works as a Supervisor Surgical Skills Education. She is responsible for organising the courses in the ArthroLab and is also responsible for compliance with radiation protection at Arthrex GmbH.

Georg Elhardt, MD

After studying medicine in Munich, Germany, Dr. Georg Elhardt furthered his training in traumatology and orthopedics at several hospitals in Munich and Cameroon (Western Africa). For 10 years, he worked in a hospital in Ebersberg, near Munich, leading the ward for traumatology, orthopedics, and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Elhardt also trained in emergency medicine, ATLS, and chiropractic medicine. He joined Arthrex in 2019 and supports surgeons in the ArthroLab, focusing on Distal Extremities.

Lukas Böhnke

Mr. Böhnke comes from Weinstadt, a small town near Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He now lives in Munich. In 2019, he completed his bachelor’s degree in “Medical Assistance, Surgery” at Fliedner University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. Before coming to Arthrex in 2021, he worked as a physician assistant in the Evangelical Hospital Göttingen-Weende and the Hospital Neu-Mariahilf. Mr. Böhnke now assists the Medical Education team as a Clinical Specialist with a focus on sports medicine and prosthetics, and trains surgeons as well as OR staff in operative techniques in this field.

Rene Sondergaard

Born in a small city near Aarhus, Denmark, René comes from an engineering background after having obtained a degree in Nanoscience at the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center at Aarhus University. He joined Arthrex Denmark as a Laboratory Technician in 2014 and has since worked his way up through the organization. With the majority of Arthrex Mobile Labs responsibilities in the EMEA region, René is continually trying to improve the medical education portfolio and laboratory infrastructure of the Mobile Labs, working with all the subsidiaries and distributors in Europe. Even though he is based out of Copenhagen, Denmark, he spends most of his time at the company headquarters in Munich or supporting his lab teams across the region.

Mark Ferguson, MBChB, FCS(SA) Ortho

Dr. Mark Ferguson obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa) before completing his orthopedic residency at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. He completed a sports medicine fellowship with Dr. Clive Noble before embarking on an observership tour throughout the U.S. Based on his experience at the Hospital for Special Surgery, the Southern California Orthopedic Institute and the American Sports Medicine Institute, Birmingham, he returned to open the Centre for Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics in Johannesburg in 1994. He was involved in the treatment of sportsmen of all sports disciplines from social to provincial, national and international levels. He has worked to provide the best innovative therapies for his patients. His main interests were knee, shoulder and sports traumatology. Prior to his full-time appointment to Director of Medical Education for the APAC region (based in Singapore) in 2017, he was an educational consultant for Arthrex for 12 years.

Robert Greer

Mr. Greer is originally from Waihi, A small town on the East Coast of New Zealand’s North Island. After finishing High School he moved to Auckland to study a Bachelor of Physical Education, Health and Outdoor Education. Upon finishing his 4 year degree in Auckland, Mr. Greer went on to teach Physical Education at one of the largest High Schools in the country. This then lead him to travelling the world for 5 years in countries such as Canada and England. Once returning to his homeland Mr. Greer went on to work for Arthrex’s New Zealand distributor at the time in a range of roles and finished up in a Territory Leader/Senior Sales role after 7 years of service. With Arthrex’s shift to a direct model in Australasia at the start of 2021, Mr. Greer has taken on the role of Medical Education and Training manager for New Zealand. In what will be a very exciting time for Arthrex in Australia and New Zealand, Mr. Greer is looking forward to paving the way for Medical Education in Aotearoa.

Megan Moran, PA-C, MPAS

Ms. Moran is originally from Elmhurst, Illinois and attended DePaul University in Chicago where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. She then went on to earn her Master of Medical Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Northwestern University. Ms. Moran worked for a number of years in Chicago at Northwestern Memorial Hospital as a physician assistant in orthopedics focused on adult reconstruction. She later transferred to Illinois Bone and Joint Institute where she continued her orthopedic career in sports medicine. In 2021, Ms. Moran joined the Arthrex Medical Education department supporting the Shoulder, Knee and Hip team.

YoungHun Ha

Mr. Ha is from Seoul, South Korea. He lived in Austin, Texas for three years before returning to Korea in 2003. In 2006, he moved to the United States to attend the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign to study cell biology. He joined Arthrex Korea as an Associate Medical Education Manager in July 2014. Mr. Ha’s role primarily includes health care professional and Arthrex Representative education, including domestic and international cadaveric workshops and mobile labs.

Robert Kalapos, MD

Originally from Budapest, Hungary, Dr. Kalapos moved to the U.S. to pursue his Bachelors of Science in Biology, which he obtained with Honors from the California State University, Long Beach in 2007. He then began his medical studies as a Dental Student between 2008 – 2011 at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Kalapos decided to switch career paths and transferred to the Medical University of Pécs, obtaining his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2016. He is fluent in English, Hungarian and French. In 2018, Dr. Kalapos joined Arthrex as an Associate Clinical Specialist supporting the Hand, Wrist and Elbow Team.

Yuri Yamamoto

Ms. Yuri Yamamoto was born in Shizuoka, Japan- the city famous for its renowned landmark, Mt. Fuji. She studied Physical Therapy at Nagoya University and started her career as a Physical Therapist at Nagoya University Hospital where she joined the hip joint research group. In 2013, Ms. Yamamoto participated in a research fellowship at Lund University Hospital in Sweden. There she studied epidemiology of fracture risks among people with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Hip/Knee Osteoarthritis. After returning to Japan, she started work at an orthopedic clinic in Aichi, furthering her focus on knee and hip arthroplasty. She was responsible for organizing Total Hip Arthroplasty and Total Knee Arthroplasty seminars. After 7 years of doing both clinical and research work as a Physical Therapist, she joined Arthrex Japan in 2021 as a Medical Education Manager.

Originally from Athens, Pennsylvania, Mr. Gorsline graduated with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Slippery Rock University in 2003, then completed his Master's degree in physician assistant sciences at Saint Francis University (Pennsylvania) in 2005. Prior to joining the Arthrex Global Medical Education team in 2022 as a clinical specialist in sports medicine and arthroplasty he spent the prior 17 years practicing as an orthopedic physician assistant in Northeast Pennsylvania and the Southern Tier of New York. There, he covered the entire spectrum of general orthopedics including trauma, total joints, foot and ankle, hand and wrist, pediatrics, sports medicine, and spine.

Andreas Rozenits, MD

Originally from Austria, Dr. Rozenits obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of Vienna, Austria in 2010. After moving to Germany the same year, he started his residency in Bavaria and became a board-certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon in 2018. At this time, he was working at the University Hospital of Augsburg, Germany. After moving back to Austria in 2019, he worked as an attending orthopedic trauma surgeon in Vienna and started his hand surgery fellowship in 2021, before moving to the U.S. and joining the Arthrex Medical Education team in Naples, Florida in August 2022. His focus throughout his years in practice has always been orthopedic trauma surgery and hand surgery. This is where he has his most clinical experience and developed his passion for orthopedic surgery.

Rafael Viso Russian, MD

Dr. Viso is originally from Caracas, Venezuela. He now makes his home in Naples, Florida. He completed medical school at Universidad Central de Venezuela and his orthopedic residency program at Hospital San Juan de Dios in Caracas, Venezuela. Additionally, he completed a fellowship program at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in Louisville, Kentucky and a Master of Business Administration at the University of Miami, in Florida. Dr. Viso trained at the International Hemophilia Training Center of the World Federation of Hemophilia in Los Angeles, California, at The University of Mississippi Medical Center, and at the Miami Hand Center. He joined the Arthrex Medical Education team in 2022 to provide education services throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

Leeann Harridsleff, PA-C

Ms. Harridsleff is originally from Simi Valley, California. She has called Fort Myers, Florida home for many years. She attended Marist College for her undergraduate degree to study biomedical science, with minors in psychology and communications. She enjoyed playing varsity volleyball while at Marist. She later attended the University of Florida and earned her Master’s degree in physician assistant studies. After PA school Ms. Harridsleff practiced exclusively in the field of orthopedic surgery with a focus on adult recon and total joint arthroplasty. She joined the Medical Education team in 2022 to provide educational service on the Shoulder, Knee, and Hip teams.

Originally from Modesto, California, Randy attended Brigham Young University in Utah followed by King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in physician assistant studies. He worked for 13 years in Scranton, Pennsylvania in emergency medicine and for 7 years in Columbia, South Carolina in foot and ankle orthopedic surgery. He joined Arthrex in 2022.

Ariadne Juárez, MD

Originally from Orizaba, Veracruz, Dr. Juárez was raised in Cancún and in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico where she completed medical school at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in 2010. She began her medical career working as subinvestigator in clinical research protocols sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline. Dr. Juárez completed her specialization in integrated medicine in 2015. She continued her career working as a doctor responsible for postoperative spine surgery patients. Later, she worked as an integrative medicine specialist for the National Strategy for the Prevention and Control of Overweight, Obesity and Diabetes in the state of Nuevo León and as state coordinator of nutritionists and physical activators. In 2021, Dr. Juárez joined Arthrex as a clinical specialist. She completed her Master’s degree in health management in 2022.

Edgar Lugo, MD

Dr. Lugo, originally from Mexico City, obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana, Mexico in 2011. He started his residency in sports medicine at Escuela Superior de Medicina in 2018 and was certified as a sports medicine physician by the Mexican Council of Sports Medicine (CONAMEDE) in 2020. Prior to joining the Arthrex Medical Education team in Mexico in February 2022 as a clinical specialist teaching the techniques and correct use of Arthrex products to surgeons and fellows in anatomical segments such as knee, shoulder, foot, and ankle, he worked in different sports institutions like the National Antidoping Organization as education manager, Mexican Olympic Committee, and National School of Sports Coaches (ENED) as a sports doctor where he was a surgical assistant in arthroscopic surgeries in athletes. The latter experience was where he acquired his passion for arthroscopic surgery.

Originally born in St. Claire Shores Michigan and raised in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Mr. Meagher studied at the University of Central Florida and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Cardiopulmonary Sciences (Respiratory Therapy) and worked in local hospitals in Orlando before moving to Ft. Myers. He then attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where he completed his Physician Assistant training in 2003 and moved back down to Ft. Myers where he worked as a physician assistant in a busy foot and ankle practice, before joining Arthrex.

Mr. Giourgis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece and moved with his family at a very young age to live in Germany in Bietigheim-Bissingen, a beautiful town near Stuttgart. After graduating from high school he moved back to Greece where he also completed his military service. In 2012, he relocated to Germany, this time to Munich. He completed his training as a technical sterilization assistant and worked for an orthopedic hospital in Munich in the sterilization department. During that time, he got the chance to assist in surgeries, which was where he first came in contact with Arthrex products. In 2015, he joined the Arthrex Medical Education department, first as a Lab Service Technician where his main responsibilities were to prepare the courses and to assist surgeons and the training team during workshops in the ArthroLab™. In 2018, he was promoted to Manager, Convention & Lab Service, leading the Lab Service team and organizing courses in the ArthroLab.

Jorge Souza, MD

Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, Dr. Souza was raised in the same city, where he completed medical school at Universidade de São Paulo. He began his medical career working as a generalist doctor for the Navy voluntarily for a year, being responsible for the ER in the Air Force hospital. Dr. Jorge started the orthopedic residence program at Hospital das Clinicas in 2018 and finished it in 2021. From 2021 to 2022, he underwent a fellowship program in shoulder and elbow surgery at the same institution and worked as chief of residents during the same period. He joined the Sociedade Brasileira de Ortopedia e Traumatologia and Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia de Ombro e Cotovelo after being approved in the proficiency exams. Dr. Souza continued his career as a surgeon in private practice for a 6-month period before joining Arthrex as a clinical specialist in 2022. In 2022, he completed an MBA in health management at Fundação Getúlio Vargas.

Edson Cano, MD

Originally from Mexico City, Mexico, Dr. Cano obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Mexico City in 2014. He became a board-certified specialist in sports medicine from Instituto Politecnico Nacional (Mexico City) in 2018. He worked at the UVM University Clinical as a medical coordinator, health and sports science professor, and synodal in physiotherapy and nutrition exam bachelor's degree. Dr. Cano joined the Arthrex Medical Education team in Mexico in March 2022 as a clinical rep trainer. Recently, he completed his Master's degree in hospital and health services management at Universidad del Valle de México (Mexico City). Dr. Cano is primarily focused on instrument tech and sales rep training.

Ana Maria Torres, MD

Originally from Mexico City, Mexico, Dr. Torres obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from “Instituto Politécnico Nacional” University School of Medicine in 2017. In addition, she has a technician degree in nursing. In 2018, Dr. Torres joined Arthrex as an instrument tech, where she acquired surgical skills in Arthrex products and techniques.
In 2021, Dr. Torres was promoted to Key account specialist of the main hospitals in Mexico City, including ABC Santa Fe, HA Interlomas, Hospital Español and others.
Her vocation and interest in teaching prompted her to apply as a clinical specialist. She joined the Medical Education team in July 2022 to stay focused on the safe and effective use of Arthrex products and techniques.

Eric Johnson, PA-C, MPAP

Eric is originally from Lansing, North Carolina. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2011 with degrees in exercise science and Spanish. While at UNC-Wilmington, he was a member of the cross country and track and field teams. Eric then received his Master's degree in physician assistant practice from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in 2016. Following graduation, Eric spent 4 years practicing orthopedic sports medicine and orthobiologics in Los Angeles. He then moved to Austin, Texas, where he spent 2 years practicing general orthopedic surgery and orthobiologics.
