Procedure

Arthroscopic ankle fusion has many proven benefits when compared to open fusion techniques. Arthrex's comprehensive product line provides surgeons with all the necessary tools for safe and effective arthroscopic fusion of the ankle joint.
The ankle arthroscopy set includes multiple curettes and osteotomes to facilitate preparation of arthritic joints. The PoweRasp™ and PowerPick™ devices allow for simple cartilage removal and marrow stimulation at the distal tibia and talus.
After appropriate preparation of the fusion site, surgeons can use the GPS Targeting System to pinpoint placement of K-wires. Once the K-wires are in place, fusion can be achieved using the Arthrex 7.0 mm Compression FT Screws.

Subtalar arthrodesis is the fusion of the subtalar joint, between the talus and calcaneus. Subtalar arthrodesis can be fixated with Arthrex 7.0 mm XL Compression FT screws.
