Reconstruction of proximal humerus fractures is often complicated by the loss of anatomic orientation features and the inability to adequately reduce and securely fix the displaced tuberosity fragments. With its uniquely designed implant and instrumentation, the Univers Shoulder Fracture System addresses issues relating to stabilizing the humeral prosthesis and accurately positioning the humeral head. Accurately reduce and fix the tuberosities with this system's straightforward, reproducible protocol.
The system includes:

 <li>An intraoperative adjustable humeral head prosthesis for secondary correction of the implant head height in situ.</li>
 <li>A preoperative and intraoperative measure guide to accurately set the humeral head height without need for technically demanding and complicated fracture jigs.</li>

 <li>Multiple suture eyelets on the trunnion to prevent secondary displacement of the tuberosities.</li>

Univers™ Fracture Stems and Hemi Systems

The Univers fracture prosthesis is used to treat comminuted fractures of the proximal humerus, humeral head fractures, displaced 3- or 4-part proximal humerus fractures, avascular necrosis of the humeral head, and fractures of the anatomic neck. This prosthesis is designed for cemented or cementless use. The unique design of the implant and instrumentation, in combination with a straightforward, reproducible protocol for accurately reducing and repairing the tuberosity, helps address issues relating to stabilization of the humeral prosthesis and accurate positioning of the humeral head.
