For meniscal allograft transplant, the double bone plug technique involves medially implanting the meniscal allograft with rigid fixation at both horn attachments. The technique can also correct meniscal deficiency using bone plugs and minimally invasive suspensory fixation and allows the meniscal allograft to maintain functional hoop stress.
