Während bei der herkömmlichen Verankerung der Sehne nur ein einziger Kompressionspunkt direkt über dem Anker entsteht, ermöglicht die SutureBridge die Platzierung eines FiberWire-Fadens über dem distalen Sehnenende in Form einer Acht. Diese Konstruktion mit vier Ankern bewirkt eine Kompression der Achillessehne über einen größeren Bereich am Kalkaneus, eine bessere Stabilität und möglicherweise eine raschere Wiederherstellung der Leistungsfähigkeit.

El SutureBridge del tendón de Aquiles es una técnica diseñada para curar la tendinitis de la inserción aquiliana o para reparar el tendón de Aquiles cuando se ha desprendido del hueso del talón. Achilles SutureBridge™

Im Fersenbein wird mit einem Punch und einem Gewindeschneider ein Loch für den Anker vorbereitet. Jeweils ein Faden des Ankers wird verworfen, der andere zum Nähen der Achillessehne verwendet. Ein zweiter Anker fixiert die zweite Hälfte der Sehne im Fersenbein. Beim Festziehen der Fäden legt sich die Achillessehne dicht an den Knochen an. Anschließend werden zwei weitere Löcher weiter unten im Fersenbein gebohrt. Die Fäden werden überkreuzt und mittels PushLock ankern im Knochen fixiert. Die Rekonstruktion ist dann abgeschlossen, wenn die Fäden sicher im Knochen fixiert sind.

La technique du SutureBridge du tendon d'Achille permet de soigner les tendinites d'insertion du tendon d'Achille ou de réparer des tendon d'Achille qui se sont détachés du calcanéum. Le chirurgien commence par dégager la zone d'attache du tendon d'Achille sur le calcanéum, puis il fend le tendon par le milieu et en détache les deux extrémités de l'os. The Achilles SutureBridge is a technique designed to cure insertional Achilles tendinitis, or to repair Achilles tendons, which have detached from the heel bone. The surgeon begins by exposing the attachment site of the Achilles tendon to the heel bone. The tendon is then split down the middle, and both ends are detached from the bone. If present, a posterior bone spur is removed with the saw. Otherwise, the heel bone is freshened to bleeding bone to enhance healing. A bone socket is created in the heel bone with the punch and tap. An anchor is screwed into the socket. One suture from the anchor is discarded, while the other is used to suture the Achilles tendon. A second anchor is placed in the heel bone. And the other side of the tendon is sutured. The sutures are tied, bringing the Achilles tightly to the bone. The surgeon then creates two additional sockets lower in the heel bone. Sutures are crossed and secured to the bone using PushLock anchors. The repair is complete when both sutures are securely fixed to the bone in all four sockets.
