El sistema de clavos femorales se utiliza para la fijación intramedular de fracturas del fémur. El sistema contiene configuraciones de clavos anterógrados y retrógrados. Esta combinación de versatilidad y diversidad ofrece a los cirujanos soluciones integrales para el manejo de fracturas femorales.
Características de las clavos anterógrados:
<ul>
 <li>Úselo para la entrada trocantérica. Pueden usarse hasta tres tornillos proximales al mismo tiempo</li>
 <li>Los orificios para tornillos proximales roscados ayudan a evitar que los tornillos se salgan</li>
 <li>Proporcionan hasta 8 mm de compresión al nivel del orificio oblongo1</li>
</ul>
Características de las clavos retrógrados:
<ul>
 <li>Los cuatro orificios para tornillos distales roscados ayudan a evitar que los tornillos se salgan</li>
 <li>Proporciona hasta 7 mm de compresión al nivel del orificio oblongo1</li>
 <li>Los tornillos dirigidos a los cóndilos posteriores proporcionan una fijación adicional</li>
 <li>El sistema de arandela y tuerca roscada proporciona compresión a través de una rotura intraarticular</li>

Procedure

The Femoral Nail System is used for intramedullary fixation for fractures of the femur. The system contains unique screw configurations for both antegrade and retrograde nailing. This combination of versatility and diversity offers surgeons comprehensive solutions for managing femoral fractures.
 
Antegrade Nail Features:
<ul>
 <li>Used for trochanteric entry, it can target up to 3 proximal screw holes at the same time</li>
 <li>Threaded proximal screw holes help prevent screw back-out</li>
 <li>Provides up to 8 mm of compression at the level of the oblong hole1 
</li>
</ul>
Retrograde Nail Features:
<ul>
 <li>Four threaded distal screw holes help prevent screw back-out</li>
 <li>Provides up to 7 mm of compression at the level of the oblong hole1</li>
 <li>Screws targeted into the posterior condyles provide additional fixation</li>
 <li>Threaded nut and washer system provides compression across an intra-articular break 
</li>
