Lisfranc Arthrodesis

Post traumatic arthritis is the most commonly reported complication following a Lisfranc injury.  Degenerative changes are reported in up to 100% of subjects in some case studies.  Fortunately, patients often do well with conservative treatment including orthotic medial arch support and rocker bottom shoes.  When these conservative measures fail surgeons may choose to perform selective arthrodeses of the offending joints.  Arthrex makes a variety of low profile plates and compression screws for surgeons to use in these procedures.
