O 2º MTT longo pode causar problemas comuns nos dedos do pé. O encurtamento metatarsal é realizado para ajudar a prevenir complicações futuras. Os pinos Trim-It oferecem ao cirurgião maior facilidade de uso visto que o pino de 2 mm pode ser acomodado em qualquer chave de fio padrão, simplificando a inserção. O material de PLLA oferece resistência superior com relação aos pinos absorvíveis concorrentes e permite ao cirurgião posicionar anatomicamente o dedo do pé depois do implante, deixando o paciente com uma fusão de dedo do pé flexionada e esteticamente agradável. 
 
Os pinos Trim-It também podem ser usados na bunionectomia do primeiro metatarso, ressecção interfalangeana proximal, fraturas de tornozelo e fixação de fragmentos condrais, .

Hand and Wrist

Trim-It Pins™ facilitam a inserção dos pinos. Ao usar a chave conectora de pino rápida padrão, os pinos bioabsorvíveis podem ser perfurados e inseridos em uma única etapa. A parte bioabsorvível do pino é colocada na chave de pino durante a fase de perfuração. A ponta de metal é furada passando pelo córtex e cortada com o fórceps de corte de osso ou cortador Hot Loop. Os Trim-It Pins proporcionam estabilização preliminar e definitiva dos fragmentos de pequenas fraturas, que envolvem lesões periarticulares. Enquanto ainda mantêm a redução inicial, as fraturas podem ser fixadas definitivamente com placas e parafusos sem bloquear a inserção das peças.

TRIM-IT™ Pins

O implante DynaNite PIP Hammertoe oferece uma solução de nitinol rosqueado e canulado para deformidades do dedo em martelo. As abas do implante são estendidas com a inserção de um fio de Kirschner e mantêm a fixação devido às propriedades do material do nitinol. A canulação permite que os cirurgiões cruzem a articulação MTP com o fio K, se desejado, e permite perfuração e inserção precisas do implante. Os implantes são oferecidos nos tamanhos 12mm, 14mm e 16mm.
