Alternative Bridge Systems
The alternative bridge systems connect to competitive scopes. Allowing the use of our cannulas, which are compatible with our shaver blades and burrs. If the video equipment cannot be converted to Synergy yet, these bridges connect to the competitive scopes and then you can use Arthrex cannulas and install Arthrex shaver/burrs in the account.
Arthrex® offers autoclavable scopes with competitive sheath connections that are made to the same high quality design and are made to Arthrex's high standard of quality as the Synergy Scopes. The scopes feature a superb image quality and provides durability with distal sapphire lens and laser welding. The scopes are available in a variety of lengths and direction of views to accommodate multiple needs in the O.R.
The competitive sheaths feature different options for the Stryker, Dyonics. The sheaths are rotatable double stopcocks and the obturators and trocars are sold separately. The sheaths are 6 mm outer diameter, which will be an advantage during pump trials due to the higher flow rate.
Arthrex® offers several instrument cases for the Synergy video equipment that allow safe transport to and from the OR. All the arthroscope brackets in each case are designed for C-Mount or Eye-Coupler Synergy Scopes. They also accommodate short or long handle obturators. The laparoscope cases are updated to now hold two of each scope (either two 5.5 mm or two 10 mm or one of each.)
Metal Cannula Sets
Both inflow/outflow and bridge system cannulas are available in the series of metal cannula sets. The cannulas feature a J-lock connection, and are offered in fenestrated and nonfenestrated tip designs. The proximal ends of the cannulas lock into most Arthrex shaver blade/burr hubs, which eliminates cannula leaking. The metal cannulas and obturators are sold separately and in sets. The unsealed cannulas come in 3.0, 4.5, 4.75, 5.0, 5.5, and 6.5 mm inner diameters.
StarFish™ Scope Rotation Attachment
The StarFish™ Scope Rotation Attachment is a rotational control device that easily attaches to the proximal end of the arthroscope, enabling the surgeon to change the direction of view of the scope with one hand. The StarFish enables the surgeon's non-camera hand to be continually engaged in instrument manipulation. The StarFish is available for eye-coupler and C-mount arthroscopes.
Arthrex’s autoclavable arthroscopes are designed and optimized for the SynergyUHD4 camera system to provide superb image quality, as well as robust durability.
Synergy Bridge Systems
The synergy bridge systems is for surgeons who currently use a competitive bridge/cannula system. The main purpose of a bridge is to help maintain portals with the use of metal cannulas. Your typical bridge user will have two cannulas placed in the joint, one viewing portal and one working portal. The cannulas feature a J-Lock type connection to the bridge, which allows for quick and easy portal changes. The Arthrex® shaver blades screw in to the cannulas to make a seal which helps maintain distention in the joint.
Synergy Hip Scopes and Sheaths
Arthrex's Synergy Hip Arthroscopes and Sheath System feature several benefits. The scopes are available in both eye-coupler and C-mount options. The scopes have a 3.5 mm outer diameter (OD) compared to an industry standard 4 mm. This allows the high-flow sheath to have an OD of 5.2 mm versus the typical 6 mm sheath. Decreasing the OD provides more room to maneuver within the hip. The tapered tip of the sheath aids in gaining access into the hip joint, along with the cannulated obturator. The working length of the hip scopes are 202 mm and 204 mm for the 30° and 70° respectively. This extended length allows full access into the majority of patients without the need to use the typical competitive extended length scope (300 mm). The eye-coupler design is compatible with the StarFish™ scope rotation attachment.
Synergy Sheath Accessories
Synergy sheath replacement parts are available for a few items to purchase if components are lost or damaged.
The Synergy sheaths are constructed by expert craftsmen with the finest materials. The Arthrex specific scope connection sheaths feature numerous sizes, lengths and configurations to accommodate any arthroscopic need. The high-flow tapered and fenestrated sheaths work with both 30° and 70° scopes. The tapered sheaths hug the tip of the scope to reduce cartilage gouging and the fenestrations are recessed to minimize tissue collection.
