Literature Review: SutureLoc™ Root Repair Biomechanical Study Using Novel Robotic Model
Clayton W. Nuelle, MD (Columbia, MO), presents a review of his biomechanical study investigating meniscus translation under loaded motion following root repair with the SutureLoc™ implant. The study found that repairs using the SutureLoc implant resulted in decreased extrusion compared to a torn root, extrusion and hoop strain similar to those of the native intact meniscus, and sustained stability of the repaired meniscus through multiple loading cycles.1
