Open European Latarjet through Subscapularis Split Cadaveric Demo

Laurence Higgins, MD, (Boston, MA) uses the Glenoid Bone Loss Set to perform a Latarjet procedure through a subscapularis splitting approach. He demonstrates a classic European technique orienting the inferior surface of the coracoid against the anterior glenoid rim and using the stump of the coracoacromial ligament for capsular reconstruction. He shows the sling effect provided by the conjoined tendon passing through the subscapularis split as the arm is abducted and externally rotated. He also discusses his expanding indications for the Latarjet procedure in his practice.
