Remplissage for On-Track Lesions in Shoulder Instability

Albert Lin, MD (Pittsburgh, PA), reviews the latest clinical data for on-track and off-track glenoid engagement with consideration of when to include a remplissage with a Bankart repair. He also introduces the idea of "distance to dislocation" as the distance until dislocation could occur. A near-track lesion, along with other patient factors (ie, contact sport, age, activity level, presence of hyperlaxity), can increase the risk potential for dislocation with Bankart repair alone.
