AutoCart™ Technique for Foot and Ankle

The AutoCart surgical technique is used to treat focal symptomatic articular cartilage defects. This single-stage, matrix-augmented autologous chondrocyte transplant combines articular cartilage collected using the GraftNet™ device with BioCartilage^® extracellular matrix.

After resection, this osteochondral graft is delivered directly to the defect site and can be sealed with autologous thrombin serum produced with the Thrombinator™ device. In foot and ankle applications, this is most commonly used to treat cartilage defects in the talus or MTP joint.
