Procedure

The Arthrex 3.5 mm locking compression plates, available in titanium or stainless steel options, provide reliable fixation for a variety of bone fractures. The plates are 3.5 mm thick and 12 mm wide, and are available either nonsterile with 5- to 14-hole options or sterile with 16 to 22 holes. Nonsterile plates range from 70 mm to 178 mm in length, while sterile plates range from 204 mm to 278 mm.
 
Compression is achieved using the oblong holes on either side of the fracture.
