FiberWire® and TigerWire®

Part of the FiberWire® family, TigerWire® suture uses the same high strength construction as FiberWire except that it contains a black marker strand in the suture weave. This strand appears as a stripe in the suture, making suture identification easier during joint reconstruction and soft tissue repairs. Suture Size 5

The Clavicle Plate and Screw System is a comprehensive set of plates, screws, and instruments designed to treat midshaft and distal clavicle fractures. The stainless steel plates are low profile and precontoured with locking and nonlocking screw options in each plate. Secondary fixation to the coracoid is achieved through the plate using AC TightRope® implant technology, particularly the AC Dog Bone™ button.
The Knotless Distal Clavicle Plate Button TightRope implant is designed to be used in conjunction with any Arthrex distal clavicle plate and gives the surgeon knotless coracoid ﬁxation to help stabilize distal clavicle fractures.

Clavicle Fracture System

Clavicle Plates and Screws

A choice of a midshaft or lateral plate is determined by the site of the fracture. The fracture is held in reduction while the plate is positioned on the clavicle and temporarily fixated with the use of a BB-Tak pin. The plate is then secured using locking or nonlocking screws. Divergent locking screws can also be used laterally. The lateral plate can also accommodate AC joint reconstruction with the Dog Bone™ button.
The Knotless Distal Clavicle Plate Button TightRope® implant is designed to be used in conjunction with any Arthrex distal clavicle plate and gives the surgeon knotless coracoid ﬁxation to help stabilize distal clavicle fractures.

Clavicle Plates Technique

Arthrex offers a wide variety of suture with needles, including SutureTape, FiberWire®, TigerWire®, and #2 FiberWire suture.
SutureTape is a flat-braided suture more resistant to tissue pull-through,1 offering improved handling and stronger knot security1 with smaller, comparable knot stacks.
FiberWire and TigerWire suture are both high-strength options available on implants and packaged separately with and without needles. FiberWire suture is constructed of a multistrand long chain ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene core with a braided jacket of polyester and UHMWPE that&nbsp;provides strength, abrasion resistance, and a soft feel.&nbsp;FiberWire suture is blue and TigerWire suture is white with a black stripe in the suture for easy identification.
#2 FiberWire suture on straight needles comes in two needle options: a single needle attached to 38 in of #2 FiberWire suture or two needles each attached to an end of 38 in of #2 FiberWire suture. These are ideal for creating a variety locking stitch patterns for avulsions of large tendons, such as the quadriceps, patellar, pectoral, or Achilles.

Univers Revers™ Total Shoulder System

A Streamlined Approach for Predictable Outcomes.

Reconstruction of proximal humerus fractures is often complicated by the loss of anatomic orientation features and the inability to adequately reduce and securely fix the displaced tuberosity fragments. With its uniquely designed implant and instrumentation, the Univers Shoulder Fracture System addresses issues relating to stabilizing the humeral prosthesis and accurately positioning the humeral head. Accurately reduce and fix the tuberosities with this system's straightforward, reproducible protocol.

Univers™ Fracture Stems and Hemi Systems

The Univers fracture prosthesis is used to treat comminuted fractures of the proximal humerus, humeral head fractures, displaced 3- or 4-part proximal humerus fractures, avascular necrosis of the humeral head, and fractures of the anatomic neck. This prosthesis is designed for cemented or cementless use. The unique design of the implant and instrumentation, in combination with a straightforward, reproducible protocol for accurately reducing and repairing the tuberosity, helps address issues relating to stabilization of the humeral prosthesis and accurate positioning of the humeral head.

Univers™ Fracture Technique

The Univers II humeral component was designed to account for commonly encountered anatomical variations of the proximal humerus. Variable adjustment with respect to the inclination angle, version, and head offset is critical to reconstruction of the proximal humerus. The simplified design of the Univers II humeral component enables for adapting the humeral stem and articular surface to the position that best represents the patient’s normal anatomy. Implant adjustments can be made intraoperatively within the humeral canal. This unique feature allows more accurate recreation of the normal anatomical relationships of the shoulder joint. With anatomic restoration of the humerus and glenoid, soft-tissue balancing of the rotator cuff is more accurate, allowing for improved functional outcome.1
