Description

The Territory Manager (TM) is responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas within his or her team's assigned territory. Must establish, build, and maintain customer relations through excellent communications and in-person appointments. They must maintain expert knowledge of our market-leading product portfolio and use this information to drive sales, motivate our sales force and serve our clients. They will be consulting with surgeons in the operating room regarding the use of corporate’s implants and instruments. To be a TM, an established record as an orthopedic sales manager/leader in the field is desired.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent Oak Med Inc / Arthrex Inc by working in a fast-paced environment with a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons & healthcare professionals.
  • Primarily responsible for working with VPS and Regional Manager to oversee and direct the team in achieving and exceeding territory sales objectives
  • Consulting with surgeons in the operating room regarding the use of implants and instrumentation.
  • Build and maintain an excellent rapport with current and new customers to support relationships. 
  • Develop and implement sales strategies with each team member, enabling the team to meet and exceed territory objectives and goals.
  • Work with the team in the territory to increase sales volume by identifying new sales opportunities and developing necessary business plans to attain goals.
  • Maintain an accurate proprietary customer relationship management (CRM) database which includes forecasting, lead generation, and account maintenance.
  • Guide the team in communicating with all accounts regarding product updates, changes to product portfolio, new techniques, and educational programs.
  • Work with Sales Associates by facilitating training, coaching, or mentoring.
  • Complete annual reviews and guide performance improvement plans.
  • Participate in and attend leadership, sales, and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required.
  • Maintaining independent study to remain current on products and procedures.
  • Commitment to the personal development of management skills.
  • Ability to 55 pounds or greater on a regular basis

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree desired; prior medical device or surgical technician experience will be considered.
  • 2+ years of Medical Device experience with Arthrex or another competitive Medical Device Company
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Aptitude for highly technical medical information, anatomy, as it relates to surgical procedures and equipment
  • Adaptable to fast-paced environments / strong sense of urgency
  • Must be comfortable in surgery/operating room
