Posterior Labral Repairs in Collision Athletes

Kyle Anderson, MD, (Detroit, MI) describes his rationale and surgical technique for using the knotless Short 2.9 mm PushLock® suture anchor for his posterior instability procedures including posterior SLAP lesions. He gives some pearls for diagnosis and imaging. Dr. Anderson discusses the benefits of knotless fixation and describes the postoperative trauma that can be caused by prominent knot stacks that either migrate towards the glenoid surface or impinge on the rotator cuff.
