Subscapularis Tears Presentation Series (Part 2): Outcomes

Patrick J. Denard, MD (Medford, OR), presents findings from two retrospective studies evaluating patient outcomes after subscapularis repair. The first study highlights the importance of subscapularis healing in both isolated and combined rotator cuff tears, showing improved patient-reported outcomes and return to activity when healing is achieved. The second study compares soft-body anchors to hard-body anchors, demonstrating similar functional outcomes with a trend toward improved tendon integrity using soft anchors, such as the FiberTak® anchor.
