Bicortical Proximal Subpectoral Tenodesis

Paul Sethi, MD and Seth Miller, MD, (Greenwich, CT) demonstrate their surgical technique for proximal subpectoral biceps tenodesis using the BicepsButton™. Dr. Sethi drills a small bicortical tunnel in the humerus followed by a unicortical tunnel in line-to-line with the biceps tendon. The tension slide technique reliably docks the biceps tendon into the tunnel and the suture limbs are tied to complete the repair. Dr. Sethi also illustrates the safety of this technique by showing the distance from the button to the axillary median and radial nerves on a specimen.
