Percutaneous Achilles Repair Utilizing the PARS Achilles Jig System

Robert Anderson, MD, (Charlotte, NC) discusses the results of using the Percutaneous Achilles Repair System (PARS) in NFL athletes. The PARS system is designed for a minimally invasive surgical repair of an Achilles tendon rupture. The PARS system features an anatomic contoured jig designed to fit within the paratenon. The PARS kit contains color coded #2 FiberWire® and PARS needles that are used to create strong percutaneous locking sutures on the distal and proximal ends of the Achilles tendon.
