IntraOsseous BioPlasty® Technique for Foot and Ankle

The IntraOsseous BioPlasty (IOBP®) technique is used to treat subchondral bone pathologies that are a result of acute or chronic injury, such as bone marrow lesions in the talus associated with persistent bone bruising or an insufficiency fracture.

The IOBP procedure encourages physiologic bone remodeling and repair through a core decompression of the lesion and a direct application of concentrated platelet-rich plasma (cPRP) from bone marrow aspirate (BMA) mixed with AlloSync™ Pure demineralized bone matrix for a biologic graft that supports healing of the subchondral bone.
