Broad compression and increased resistance to tissue pull-through make FiberTape suture the leading choice for knotless repairs. This ultra-high–strength suture has a long-chain polyethylene structure similar to FiberWire® suture. Its broad footprint is ideal for repairs to degenerative cuff tissue for which tissue pull-through may be a concern. FiberTape suture is 27% more resistant to tissue pull-through compared to round #2 suture.1

Part of the FiberWire® suture family, FiberTape® and TigerTape are ultra-high strength, 2 mm width tapes using a similar long chain polyethylene structure as the FiberWire suture. In addition to high demand applications like AC joint reconstruction, the broad footprint of the FiberTape is appropriate for repairs in degenerative cuff tissue where tissue pull-through may be a concern. FiberTape is blue with each end tapered to a #2 FiberWire and comes 2 mm, 36” or 2 mm, 7”. TigerTape is 2 mm, 7” white/black with each end tapered to a #2 FiberWire. There are a variety of innovative solutions to arthroscopic suture passing in the FiberWire family including TigerWire®, FiberStick® and TigerStick®, FiberLoop®, FiberSnare®, FiberChain®, and FiberLink™. Part of the FiberWire Suture Family includes 2-0 FiberWire Meniscus Repair Needles and the FiberWire Suture Kit. FiberWire accessories include Suture Cutters, the FiberWire Scissor, FingerShield™ and FiberWire Tensioner. Trusted by leading orthopedic surgeons worldwide, FiberWire has contributed to successful surgical outcomes in over one million orthopedic surgical procedures.

A modified SpeedBridge™ construct, with multiple suture passes and knotless SwiveLock® anchors laterally, provides a strong repair that may be applied in many tendon repair indications. An alternate repair technique is the use of whip stitches for the tendon that are passed through two small transosseous tunnels. The sutures are then crossed over the tendon to create a suture bridging construct completed with knotless SwiveLock anchors.

Triceps Technique

The precontoured, titanium Dog Bone button allows the use of knotless TightRope® technology or multiple FiberTape® sutures for AC joint reduction. The buttons are attached to the sutures independently—only suture material will be passed through the clavicle and coracoid tunnels—allowing the repair to be completed through smaller tunnels.
The low-profile AC implant and Dog Bone button combine to form a tensionable device optimized for the reduction and stabilization of acute and chronic acromioclavicular joint separations. This dual construct features two independent TightRope sutures preassembled into a clavicle insert and a Dog Bone button, which attaches to the suture loops separately after passing them antegrade through the 3 mm bone tunnels.

AC Dog Bone™ Button Technique

The Clavicle Plate and Screw System is a comprehensive set of plates, screws, and instruments designed to treat midshaft and distal clavicle fractures. The stainless steel plates are low profile and precontoured with locking and nonlocking screw options in each plate. Secondary fixation to the coracoid is achieved through the plate using AC TightRope® implant technology, particularly the AC Dog Bone™ button.
The Knotless Distal Clavicle Plate Button TightRope implant is designed to be used in conjunction with any Arthrex distal clavicle plate and gives the surgeon knotless coracoid ﬁxation to help stabilize distal clavicle fractures.

Clavicle Fracture System

Clavicle Plates and Screws

A choice of a midshaft or lateral plate is determined by the site of the fracture. The fracture is held in reduction while the plate is positioned on the clavicle and temporarily fixated with the use of a BB-Tak pin. The plate is then secured using locking or nonlocking screws. Divergent locking screws can also be used laterally. The lateral plate can also accommodate AC joint reconstruction with the Dog Bone™ button.
The Knotless Distal Clavicle Plate Button TightRope® implant is designed to be used in conjunction with any Arthrex distal clavicle plate and gives the surgeon knotless coracoid ﬁxation to help stabilize distal clavicle fractures.

Dog Bone™ Button

As the next evolution of knotless rotator cuff repair, the FiberTak SpeedBridge technique is completed with 2.6 FiberTak RC soft anchors on the medial row and FiberTape® sutures fixated laterally with trusted SwiveLock® anchors.
This knotless repair creates a quick, secure construct in as few as three suture-passing steps. The small size of the 2.6 FiberTak RC anchors allows for three points of medial-row fixation where previously only two fixation points could be achieved.
Knotless 2.6 FiberTak RC anchors are adaptable and can conform to traditional repair techniques while providing the additional benefits of tensionable knotless technology for incorporating biologics or increasing medial-row compression.

FiberLoop® and TigerLoop™ sutures are a continuous loop of FiberWire® suture with multiple needle options. The needles are easy to handle and move freely on the suture to recenter themselves after passing through tissue and facilitating even tension. Graft preparation using the SpeedWhip™ technique drastically reduces time spent preparing the graft, uniformly compresses the graft, improves strength,1 and allows for last minute adjustments in graft length.

The SpeedWhip rip-stop technique eliminates the weak link in graft preparation by reinforcing the suture/tissue interface with a FiberTag® scaffold. A FiberTag suture is incorporated into the end of the FiberLoop construct to allow each needle pass to include both the graft and the FiberTag scaffold. This construct has been shown to increase the strength over standard stitching alone.1

Looped Suture With Needles

2.6 FiberTak RC anchors are specifically designed for surgeons who prefer an all-suture anchor for the medial row of a double-row, bridging rotator cuff repair. They are combined with Knotless SwiveLock® C anchors for the lateral row. The unique 2.6 FiberTak RC anchor has a 1.7 FiberTape® suture fixed to the sheath so that it cannot slide, making it easy to tension the lateral row for a totally knotless construct. The 2.6 FiberTak RC anchor is available with a tensionable knotless mechanism or a sliding 1.3 mm SutureTape that can be incorporated into the repair, or discarded, for ultimate flexibility.
The self-punching inserter for select FiberTak anchors allows for direct insertion into bone without creating a prepunched or predrilled socket for anchor insertion. The self-punching FiberTak inserter may be used with or without a guide and can be placed directly into bone or used with a transtendon insertion technique.
