Procedure

The low-profile 3.2 mm Knee Scorpion™ jaw allows the passage of 0 and 2-0 FiberWire® suture in tight recesses of the knee. The one-handed, ergonomically designed suture passer is offered with reliable FastPass technology. FastPass Scorpion™ technology allows passing suture through tissue and capturing the suture in one simple pass, eliminating the need for the extra steps of suture retrieval and suture shuttling. Multiple different suture configurations are possible using the Knee Scorpion suture passer.

Meniscal All-Suture Repair

Meniscal root avulsions are a challenging injury causing meniscal extrusion and loss of hoop stress distribution, which can lead to the development of knee arthritis.1 Arthrex offers multiple implant systems for meniscal root repair.&nbsp;
The SutureLoc™ implant allows for direct tibial fixation of the meniscal root. The 2.4 mm cannulated drill pin leaves more bone intact while delivering the SutureLasso™ wire directly to the footprint of the meniscal root. Once the anchor has been passed, the 2 repair sutures can be passed through the tissue in a variety of stitch patterns. The knotless implant is retensionable, allowing surgeons to dial in their repair. Traditional transtibial implant systems using a FlipCutter® II reamer and multiple fixation options are also available.
A complete system for meniscal root repair includes the meniscal root marking hooks and the Knee Scorpion™ suture passer. Two meniscal root marking hooks are available, so surgeons can choose their preferred hook.&nbsp;
The point-to-point guide allows surgeons to directly target their drill location at the meniscal root footprint, while the over-the-back marking hook sits securely over the back of the tibia to allow stable drilling tunnel preparation. Use the low-profile Knee Scorpion suture passer to simplify suture passing in tight recesses of the knee.
