BioComposite FastThread interference screws are designed with a prominent leading and large thread pitch to facilitate screw engagement and advancement. Optimized screw threads improve pullout strength vs longer screws of the same diameter.1 Vented sidewalls and screw geometry decrease material by 22% without losing insertion or fixation strength.2,3 Arthrex’s proprietary biocomposite material has withstood the test of time with more than a decade of clinical use and millions of implantations.4 Rounded thread and head design may reduce damage to graft on insertion and cycling. Fewer screw heads reduce turns, twisting, and possible graft abrasion. The 20 mm screws are packaged with an insertion sheath.
PEEK FastThread screws offer a nonmetallic fixation option that can be placed without a tap, have a similar modulus as bone and will not affect future visualization with MRI.1,2 PEEK FastThread screws are available in 20 mm and 30 mm lengths.
