Articular allografts provided through Arthrex® are processed as fresh allografts with viable chondrocytes. These grafts are used in resurfacing procedures in the knee, shoulder, hip, foot and ankle. Arthrex offers numerous fresh, articular allograft types to meet the needs of the patient and surgeon.

Fresh Osteochondral Allografts

Talus OATS instrumentation facilitates harvesting of small-diameter hyaline cartilage osteochondral cores from an osteochondral allograft. Through a series of precise steps with dedicated instrumentation, the surgeon can replace damaged articular cartilage defects with a healthy, fresh osteochondral tissue core that matches the contour and cartilage morphology of the recipient site. There are few treatment options for patients with large, symptomatic lesions of osteoarticular surfaces in the talus. &nbsp;This technique provides a reliable outcome when restoring articular cartilage.1
