The SutureBridge™ and SpeedBridge™ are novel concepts in Achilles reattachment, following debridement. While standard anchor fixation of the tendon creates only a single point of compression directly over the anchor, the SutureBridge enables an hourglass pattern of FiberWire suture to be laid over the distal end of the tendon. This four-anchor construct enables a greater area of compression for the Achilles tendon on the calcaneus, improving stability and possibly allowing for earlier return to normal activities. The SpeedBridge enables an hourglass pattern of FiberTape^® suture to be laid over the distal end of the tendon. This four-anchor construct enables a true knotless repair and a greater area of compression for the Achilles tendon on the calcaneus, improving stability and possibly allowing for earlier return to normal activities.

The new MIS FiberTak Achilles SpeedBridge repair implant system is a novel concept in Achilles reattachment following Haglund’s debridement. This repair enables an hourglass pattern of FiberTape® suture and knotless rip-stop sutures to be laid over the tendon’s distal end in a completely knotless 4-anchor configuration. The Arthrex SpeedBridge repair is an innovative soft-tissue fixation device used in the treatment of Achilles injuries.
