The BirdBeak® has an extremely sharp tip to penetrate soft tissue easily and a stiff shaft that resists bending during tissue shifting procedures. The BirdBeaks are an essential tool for arthroscopic labral, SLAP or rotator cuff repair. The BirdBeak Evolution® has a uniquely designed handle that allows for easy operation from virtually any hand position.
The Micro SutureLasso™ replaces 18-gauge needles forarthroscopic suture passing. Sterile, disposable, stainless steel needles are20-gauge at the tip and taper to 16-gauge at the handle to provide the addedstiffness needed for percutaneous placement for arthroscopic suture passing inupper and lower extremities. The ergonomic plastic handle facilitates accurateplacement and control. Advancement of a pre-loaded fine nitinol wire loopshuttles any suture through tissue. A selection of straight and curved shaftsprovides accessibility to difficult to reach structures.Micro SutureLassos also accommodate2-0 and #2 FiberSticksforsingle step passing of FiberWire suture and are especially suited for outside/in meniscal repair, rotator cuff repair and TFCC repair of the wrist.
The NeedlePunch® II is a simple, versatile and effective suture passing instrument. The NeedlePunch® needle is loaded into the bottom jaw of the instrument and the back handle is squeezed slightly, locking the needle into place. Once the desired bite of tissue is grasped, deploy the needle through the cuff by squeezing the back handle. The needle comes up through the soft tissue and locks into the catch mechanism on the upper jaw. To retrieve the needle, open the jaw and remove the instrument. The needle swivels back for easy extraction. The needle is available in multiple configurations for shuttling suture through tissue and for side-to-side cuff repairs.
The Penetrator™ Retriever isa unique instrument that combines a small penetrating tip with a suture grasperto allow suture delivery or extraction in one step. The 2.7 mm diameter tipslides easily through the tissue with the suture either sliding or graspedwithin the self-ratcheting mechanism. A special version, with wider jaw, isavailable to easily manipulate FiberTapes.
The new QuickPass™ family of Lassos uses thumbwheels and a new ergonomic handle to quickly and easily advance the supplied Nitinol wire loop, a #2 FiberStick™ or a monofilament (PDS) suture. Sterile, single-patient use assures a sharp instrument every time.
The ReelPass SutureLasso™ contains 10 yards of blue #1 monofilament to provide the user a continuous supply without the need to reload. The ergonomic handle and thumbwheels were designed to easily advance the monofilament. The 1.5 mm tip diameter is the smallest on the market.
Rhino Suture Passer
The Rhino Suture Passer is the next generation in reusable suture passingdevices. The extremely sharp, small diameter tip will easily penetrate softtissue and the ridged 3.4 mm shaft will resist bending and flexing duringtissue shifting procedures. The configurations include straight, left and rightcurve with an upturned tip. The novel bottom opening jaw design is convenientlypositioned to capture the suture from an anchor, eliminating the need to rotatethe instrument.
Rotation Lasso Suture Passer
Featuring a rotating and steerable loop for arthroscopic and open soft-tissue repair, the Rotation Lasso suture passer has a simple and intuitive lasso design. Its simplicity helps reduce procedural steps, prevents twists and tangles inside cannulas, and eliminates the need for outside suture shuttling. The deployable and durable rotating nitinol loop allows for an all-inside passing technique.
Small Diameter SutureLasso™
The Small Diameter SutureLasso™ feature a stiff shaft and a sharp, atraumatic tip with an outer diameter of only 1.8 mm. The SutureLasso SD is available in a variety of tip configurations and is preloaded with a Nitinol wire shuttle loop. A thumb pad is used for easy, one-handed wire advancement. Skip a shuttling step during margin convergence suturing or when using a PushLock anchor by loading a FiberStick directly through the SutureLasso SD in place of the Nitinol wire loop. The FiberStick is a #2 FiberWire with 12 inches stiffened to allow easy advancement through most cannulated instruments.
Arthrex has a comprehensive offering of disposable SutureLasso™ with various curved tip configurations to accommodate atraumatic suture passage for arthroscopic Bankart, SLAP and rotator cuff repairs.
