Titanium Corkscrew® suture anchors (available in 3.5 mm, 5.0 mm, and 6.5 mm diameters) feature a small minor diameter and a cancellous screw thread design.
The anchor's very sharp point makes it possible to insert without tapping. The Corkscrew II suture anchor has two eyelets that maximize suture separation and slidability.

This in-vitro biomechanical study compares 105 Corkscrew® vs 100 SwiveLock® anchors (79 with FiberTape®). FiberTape knotless technology with the Arthrex SwiveLock led to statistically significantly highest ultimate load, stiffness and load at 3 mm displacement.

In this study presented by Dr. Bryan Hanypsiak under the guidance of Dr. Stephen Burkhart, the knots of more than 70 accomplished shoulder surgeons are tested against Arthrex knotless suture constructs. Knotless sutures consistently provided a more dependable strength, while the knots tied by surgeons seemed to produce less consistent load to failure.
