Description

The Arthroplasty Specialist will focus on sales of implants/instruments for Arthrex’s Shoulder Arthroplasty, Partial Knee, and related fracture line products. The Specialist will be responsible for Arthroplasty sales in the Chicagoland area, working specifically with Arthroplasty Managers and associated sales force to drive product strategy and will have direct interaction with customers. The Arthroplasty Specialist will strategize with Arthroplasty Managers to execute current and future market needs based on assessing the competitive environment and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent Artemis Surgical,the exclusive agency authorized to sell Arthrex products in Chicago, Northwest Indiana, and West & North Michigan.  Arthrex is a world-class leader in the orthopedic industry.
  • Become an expert in shoulder and knee anatomy and all designated Arthrex Arthroplasty products.
  • Communicates Arthrex marketing programs for new products or enhancements, including identification of market segments, product positioning, product bundling, pricing, and profitability.
  • Participates in activities necessary to help train surgeons and sales personnel on the technical use of Arthrex Arthroplasty Devices.
  • Provides exemplary intraoperative surgical support, documents surgeon preferences, manages Arthroplasty assets, executes cadaver labs, and conducts sales presentations.
  • Understands market trends and competitive strategies and uses this knowledge to guide the development of arthroplasty business plans and sales.
  • Communicates and executes arthroplasty product launches.
  • Communicates and collaborates with the Director of Medical Education on surgeon education and training materials available to sales representatives (i.e., technical training materials and surgical techniques).
  • Attends labs, industry meetings, and tradeshows.
  • Works cross-functionally with Arthrex corporate, sales operations, regulatory, and finance to introduce new products, communicate pricing, and manage territory arthroplasty leads.
  • Represent Artemis Surgical and Arthrex at various industry meetings.
  • Ensure all marketing/sales directions adhere to compliance regulations and policies.
  • Manage revenue targets for applicable products and identify trays/instruments and resource distribution channels.

Requirements

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to surgeons within the orthopedic medicine market.
  • Sales experience required.
  • Must be comfortable in surgery/operating room environments.
  • Detail-orientated, focused, organized, and highly competitive.
