Fortis Surgical is seeking highly motivated, problem-solving individuals with a willingness to learn to join us as a Technology Representative! 

This role is focused on providing support to the sales team in a fast-paced environment, while working through an intensive training program. Product training will include educational instruction, self-guided online training, and hands-on bio-skills. Training continues in the operating room where your team will guide you in assisting surgeons and staff in the safe and effective use of our products.

The Technology Representative will be a salaried employee of Fortis with some potential for incentive as an individual shows a capacity to learn and support the sales team by actively contributing to quota goals. This position will report directly to the Team Lead of the assigned territory but may take direction from District Managers and Territory Managers (TM) as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn Arthrex’s extensive product offerings and understand the appropriate anatomy and biomechanics that constitute the field of orthopedics
  • Provide support to augment sales efforts and to further drive clinical and educational value
  • Deliver instruments/implants to/from accounts in preparation for upcoming surgical cases or after the completion of surgical cases
  • Assist team in covering surgical cases in assigned territory
  • Build and maintain beneficial relationships with surgeons, physician assistants, nurses, technologists, key administration and purchasing personnel, to grow and develop business
  • Participate in labs and educational events that support accounts in the defined territory
  • Complete all educational courses required by leadership
  • Other key responsibilities include completing sales orders in RedSpot, collecting purchase orders from facilities, assisting the team with new product introductions, and communicating pricing/billing in line with company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Previous exposure to, or familiarity with, medical terminology, anatomy & pathology via sports, coursework, previous role, or other, preferred
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to life up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Willing and able to travel frequently
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time to attend surgical cases in an operating room, on a daily basis
