Pinnacle Inc. is a Metro-Detroit based sales agency that is privileged to be the exclusive distributor of Arthrex medical products throughout Southeast Michigan.  We are committed to “helping surgeons treat their patients better” by focusing on surgeon education at our state-of-the-art training laboratory and in the field, and after a decade of teaching thousands of surgeons, we need someone to help support our ongoing initiatives of continuing to teach top surgeons skills they can use to create better lives for their patients.

 

As an Experienced Orthobiologics Sales Representative for Pinnacle, Inc., you’ll be responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas within your assigned specialty by selling medical products and services through expert education, professional sales techniques, and good customer service. Your goal is to establish, build, and maintain quality customer relationships, continuously educating Orthopedic surgeons on our innovative, market leading product portfolio. Your success in educating healthcare professionals on the features and benefits of Arthrex products and surgical techniques specific to Orthobiologics will increase the likelihood of surgeons using our products to treat their patients, positively impacting the bottom line, and allowing Pinnacle to continue to grow and provide healthcare professionals with products and services needed to help thousands of patients lead better lives.

DAY 1 IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO HAVE:

 

Orthobiologics Expertise – Must have knowledge and understanding of everything related to Orthobiologics – this includes anatomy, diseases, and issues associated with the orthopedics, along with product knowledge and surgical techniques on how to fix those issues.

 

Selling Experience - Being a sales organization, it is pertinent that we meet or exceed our annual quota regularly.  To ensure we meet our quota, you must understand the basics of selling, how to build and maintain relationships, cold calling, sales techniques, and more.

 

Ability to learn things quickly – There is a large magnitude of information that you will be responsible for knowing, including human anatomy, surgical techniques, and the features and benefits of Arthrex products. Arthrex has thousands of products for surgeons to choose from and is constantly coming out with new and improved products, so it’s important that you have the ability to learn quickly while retaining knowledge that you have learned in the past.

 

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable – Activities and tasks in this role are continuous throughout the day, leaving little time for casual breaks, and often leaving employees to juggle multiple tasks at one time. It is important that you have the ability to work some long hours, do well under pressure, and thrive in a sometimes-unpredictable work environment.

 

Ability to communicate efficiently – Because of the fast-paced nature of the business, it is important that you can exchange ideas, thoughts, opinions, knowledge, and data with clarity and purpose in a timely manner.

  

A MAJORITY OF YOUR TIME WILL BE SPENT: 

 

  • Representing Pinnacle, Inc. while working with a sophisticated audience comprised of Orthopedic surgeons and healthcare professionals and meeting or exceeding sales objectives of Arthrex products for your assigned territory.
  • Building and maintaining strong business relationships with existing accounts and increasing the account base and volume of sales by developing and implementing a variety of sales strategies targeting new account opportunities.
  • Communicating with customer accounts via telephone, email, or in person regarding a variety of topics including product updates, changes to product portfolios, billing issues, and educational programs.
  • Cross-selling additional products and managing new product introductions as they become available.
  • Utilizing company leads and identifying new prospects, determining their needs, and developing solutions for those identified needs.
  • Meeting quarterly objectives/goals.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, here are the skills we are looking for:

 

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related degree in health field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated Orthobiologics experience and sales success in the Orthopedic Medical Device industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the health industry.
  • Live within our West District - Commerce, Ann Arbor, West Bloomfield, Brighton, Novi, etc.
  • Possess a valid State Driver's License, safe driving record, and insurance.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Office Suite, and common internet browsers.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to travel to training courses when necessary.
  • Ability to work on-call after hours on a rotational basis with your assigned teammates.
  • Must be comfortable in surgery/operating room environments.
