The Technology Specialist – Sales Representative is an independent, assertive individual who is responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas within his or her team’s assigned territory. Sales Representative must establish, build, and maintain customer relations with trust and loyalty, through constant communications and in-person appointments. This position is specifically responsible for maintaining expert knowledge of our market leading product portfolio. You will be consulting surgeons in the operating room regarding the use of our implants and instruments. Initiative, coupled with a sense of competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on the results despite changing conditions, is the key to achieving the performance objectives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following list. Additionally, demonstrating an adherence to, and mentoring of, the True North Surgical culture is of the most importance. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives for the territory. Represent True North Surgical, an independent agency authorized to sell Arthrex products, with integrity, by working with a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons and healthcare professionals. Arthrex is a world-class leader in the orthopedic industry.
  • Increase territory results by taking initiative to build and maintain strong business relationships, and by developing and implementing sales strategies.
  • Motivated by a fast-paced work environment
  • Can bring enthusiasm, purpose, and credibility to current and new customer accounts regarding a variety of topics, including product updates, changes to product portfolio, and educational programs.
  • Implement new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and to meet/exceed territory objectives.
  • Ability to lead conversations and explore new opportunities with potential and existing accounts
  • Cross-sell additional products or manage new product introductions as they become available.
  • Address any problems that arise with respect and stay composed under pressure
  • Be coachable and willing to learn and apply knowledge in day-to-day tasks, with the main goal to get things done in a timely manner
  • Participate in and attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the Orthopedics & Sports medicine market
  • 1-2 years demonstrated sales success preferably in the Orthopedics & Sports medicine market
  • Must be comfortable in open operating room environments.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology as it specifically relates to Arthrex
  • Knowledge of Operating Room protocols and procedures
  • Ability to learn a high level of technical information, anatomy and indications as it relates to surgery and procedures
