Local Business Leaders Tour the New Arthrex Logistics Center in Lee County

On May 30, 2012, Arthrex hosted a group of Lee County business leaders for a tour of the new Arthrex Logistics Center (ALC).  Lee County Commissioner Ray Judah and representatives from the Horizon Economic Development Council enjoyed learning more about Arthrex and the positive contributions the company is making to medicine and the Southwest Florida community.

Arthrex announced its plans to expand into Lee County in August 2011 with the purchase of a 240,000 square-foot facility off Daniels Parkway in Fort Myers, FL.  The facility would consolidate existing warehouse, packaging and distribution capacities to a central location near Southwest Florida International Airport to best service U.S. and global surgeon and hospital customers and their patients.

After investing $3.5M in renovations, ALC transformed into a beautiful, impressive addition to the Arthrex family of facilities in Southwest Florida, and opened in early 2012.  The opening of ALC also provided Arthrex with significant vacated floor space to expand high-tech manufacturing capacity within Arthrex Manufacturing, Inc. at its corporate headquarters in Naples, FL.

ALC ships between 2,500 and 3,000 boxes every day to customers throughout the United States and to more than 100 countries around the world.
