Arthrex President and Founder Reinhold Schmieding, Sr. Director of Operations David Bumpous, Florida Governor Rick Scott and other local elected officials announced our exciting global headquarters expansion plans to the community at an event held at Inc. last Thursday. Construction of the three new facilities, a six-story modern office building, a four-story hotel and a wellness center, is scheduled to begin next month, with completion by the end of 2019.

Reinhold said, “As Arthrex continues to experience unprecedented growth around the world, we remain committed to expanding in Southwest Florida. This project was designed to accommodate our growth into the next decade, while maintaining the beautiful aesthetic of the Naples community.”

Governor Scott highlighted employees Johnnie Gonzalez and Maya Ericksonfor the opportunities and success they’ve had at Arthrex. Johnnie, a native of Immokalee, FL, graduated from the Arthrex Manufacturing Apprentice Program (AMAP) last year and is now a Machinist I on the Total Joint team. Maya made the move from Connecticut to work at Arthrex five years ago and is now a manufacturing engineer and program manager for the prototype team.

This project, combined with recent expansion at AMIE that added 350 jobs, means Arthrex has pledged in the last two years to create nearly 1,000 jobs in Collier County.

“I can’t think of a company in the state that has had the success that Arthrex has,” said Governor Scott. “It’s a great place to work and a great place for opportunity.”
