High Tibial Osteotomy with Arthrex® Bone Void Fillers

Raffy Mirzayan, MD, (Baldwin Park, CA) demonstrates his technique for filling the bone void that is created when performing a high tibial osteotomy. Arthrex Quickset™ is a resorbable calcium phosphate cement that can be used along the lateral portion of the osteotomy, providing a rigid, osteoconductive matrix. StimuBlast™ DBM, FlexiGRAFT® Demineralized Cortical Fibers and platelet rich plasma are used within the void near the iBalance implant, providing an osteoinductive matrix that helps to induce new bone growth across the osteotomy. Utilization of the iBalance® HTO System eliminates soft tissue irritation caused by prominent hardware due to the implant sitting flush to cortical bone.
