Surgical Outcomes System™ (SOS™) Registry Reaches Major Milestone

The Surgical Outcomes System global registry has enrolled 100,000 patients. The data collected from these patients into our SOS global registry allows physicians to easily analyze patient outcomes and treatment procedures to quantify results for health care operations, performance improvement and marketing, as well as patient engagement and research.

SOS Manager Morgan Rouleau said the news takes Arthrex’s quality assurance responsibility to the next level. SOS

“Physicians understand the increasing importance of collecting patient reported outcomes to measure value and provide quality products to their patients. SOS is a tool to support the conversations we have supporting our products and procedures, so physicians are able to see the value of supporting their techniques with the data,” she said.

While historically our focus has been on product technique innovation in arthroscopy, less invasive orthopedics and medical education, we felt a responsibility to provide the most simple and comprehensive global, web-based surgical outcomes registry in orthopedics. This led to the development of the SOS global registry.
