Arthrex Breaks Ground for New Surgical Device Manufacturing Facility Near Ave Maria, FL
Arthrex
marked yet another milestone in the company’s history with a groundbreaking
ceremony on April 16, 2012 to kick off construction for Arthrex Manufacturing
East (AMIE) near Ave Maria, FL. The
support for Arthrex was overwhelming as more than 180 community and government
leaders attended the event.
During the
groundbreaking ceremony, several leaders spoke in support of Arthrex and the company’s
expansion plans, including Florida Governor Rick Scott, State Representative
and Incoming Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives Will Weatherford,
Collier County Commissioner Jim Coletta, and Blake Gable, President of Barron
Collier Companies. State Representatives
Matt Hudson and Kathleen Passidomo and Collier County Commissioners Fred Coyle,
Donna Fiala and Tom Henning were also in attendance.
The tone of
the event was very positive and upbeat.
It was exciting to see the local Naples community embrace Arthrex and
better understand the company’s mission and impact as a leading employer,
healthcare technology innovator and magnet for medical education tourism. Arthrex is proud to be contributing to the
economic future of Ave Maria and eastern Collier County.
