Collier County's Emerging Leaders GAIN the Arthrex Experience
Arthrex welcomed this year's Growing Associates in Naples (GAIN) class to the Inc. Medical Education Center as part of the program's Commerce Day session last Tuesday. President and Founder Reinhold Schmieding presented to the group of local young professionals about Arthrex's history and its impact in the community, followed by a tour of the Research & Development lab and presentations by other local leaders on the future of business and economic development in Collier County.
GAIN is part of The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce’s family of leadership programs specifically designed for emerging leaders and young professionals. Participants learn about local government, human services, arts, business, law enforcement, tourism, education and other resources so that graduates can be effective community contributors.
Soon after moving to the area last August, Packaging Process Engineer Associate Kaitlyn Griswold heard about the program, applied and was selected to represent Arthrex as a member of the 2017 class. She says GAIN provided a great way for her to connect with and learn about the community.
She says, "At the Arthrex session, many of my classmates were very inspired after hearing Reinhold Schmieding give his presentation. It gave everyone hope that you can make a difference with hard work and perseverance. It was nice for everyone to hear from a leader who cares about his employees and wants to continue to improve the lives of others. This is important because we provide a great example of what other employers strive to be as community leaders, and GAIN gives professionals (like me) a chance to become active members of the community."
