Lisa Garrett’s Trip of a Lifetime to France Worth the Wait

Lisa Garrett

Exhibit and Events Senior Specialist Lisa Garrett's Trip of a Lifetime was rescheduled several times since 2019, but she said being able to celebrate five years of employment with Arthrex in France was worth the wait.

Lisa began her adventure by spending three days in Paris. She enjoyed the most famous district in the city, Montmartre, which was once home to artists including Pablo Picasso and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Vincent Van Gogh. She also loved the stunning stained-glass windows of the St. Chapelle Chapel.

“The beauty of Paris did not disappoint,” she said.

Some of the other highlights were seeing Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa at the Louvre and being present in the rooms of Versailles' entrenched history and magnificent gardens.

From Paris, Lisa, along with her daughter, son and son's fiancé, went to the French countryside to meet more family members and friends to celebrate her sister’s 50th birthday. They took day trips through the wine country of St. Emilion, pre-historic caves and the towns of Sarlat and Limoges.

“I am very grateful to Arthrex for providing me the extra week and some additional funds to take such a ‘trip of a lifetime.'  It was definitely a trip to remember,” she said.

For every five years of employment with Arthrex, employees are eligible for a company-paid Trip of a Lifetime to recognize their dedication.
