Global Content Distribution Supervisor Diana Wydysh celebrated 10 years of service at Arthrex and her son’s high school graduation with a three-week Trip of a Lifetime to Europe.

“It was a beautiful trip filled with great memories and adventures we will always share,” Diana said.

Their journey began at the Colosseum in Rome, where Diana was thrilled to see her son’s eyes widen with recognition. For her, she said, it was a moment she would never forget. They also saw the Trevi Fountain, The Roman Forum and The Vatican Museum where they had the unique experience of viewing the stunning Sistine Chapel.

From Rome, they took a train to Venice. Diana said she and her son felt such an overwhelming feeling of excitement as the train arrived in Venice. One of their favorite places was the island of Murano, which is known for its glass-making. They also enjoyed the evening Ghost and Legends walking tour of the city, where they discovered many enchanting and secret alleys.

“Every building in the city has history and the cathedrals we visited had beautiful architecture. I will miss the cappuccinos and the delicious pastries,” she said.

After Venice, the two flew to Paris. They enjoyed the Louvre Museum and the Notre Dame Cathedral. They also had the opportunity to explore underneath the city, touring the Catacombs of Paris, which are underground ossuaries holding the remains of more than six million people in a small part of a tunnel network built to consolidate Paris' ancient stone quarries.

The final destinations on their three-week adventure were to Liverpool and London. In Liverpool they visited the Beatles Museum and in London they went to the National Gallery where they saw paintings by Paul Cezanne, Claude Monet, Giovanni Bellini, Claude Lorrain, Rembrandt and Vincent Van Gogh. They also visited Piccadilly Circus, Covenant Garden, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Kings Cross Station’s Platform 9 3/4, which is featured in the Harry Potter books.

“London offered many free attractions, has the most iconic landmarks, rich history and excellent cuisine,” she said.

Diana is incredibly appreciative that she was able to go on this Trip of a Lifetime with her son.

“I’m so thankful to Arthrex and President and Founder Reinhold Schmieding for this incredible and rewarding benefit. I am always so proud to be working for this company,” she said.
