In honor of Customer Service Week, we’re highlighting Government Contract Administrator Katelynn Lehman, who loves that her job allows her to make a difference for Arthrex customers every day. Learn how Arthrex helps her feel empowered, the value she sees in the products Arthrex provides its surgeons and how a life-changing diagnosis this year left her feeling grateful for her Arthrex family.

 

What does a typical day at Arthrex look like for you?

A typical day at Arthrex includes having the opportunity to provide world-class customer service to medical facilities throughout the country. In this customer-facing role, I handle customer inquiries, process orders and connect health care professionals to internal departments. Our team is very customer-oriented and focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.  

 

What do you enjoy most about your job?  

I enjoy the satisfaction of making an impact on others’ lives. It is an honor to contribute to the Arthrex mission. The Customer Service team is the face of the company. I take pride in providing the best customer service to facilities around the country. The combination of customer, patient and doctor testimonials makes us understand the significance that Arthrex and the Customer Service team provide to everyone.  

 

What has been a highlight during your time at Arthrex?   

A highlight during my time at Arthrex has been being part of the Customer Service family. The family culture within my department was very supportive when I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The diagnosis took me by surprise, but my co-workers gave me the confidence and support to continue living a happy, healthy life. 

Also, working for a company that provides the best support for employees through nutritious lunches, wellness programs and medical facilities makes managing diabetes that much easier!  

 

Our core value is Making People Better. How has Arthrex made you better?  

Arthrex has made me a better person both professionally and personally. I have been able to develop my customer service skills tremendously by speaking with medical professionals daily. It has helped me understand their time-critical roles and the value that Arthrex brings to them.  

Personally, I have been able to develop as an individual by receiving my bachelor’s degree in business management and supervision recently from Florida SouthWestern State College. With Arthrex so focused on empowering employees by providing firsthand experience and education encouragement, it has made me realize that this is the best place for me!

 

What do you do in your downtime?  

In my downtime, I enjoy exercising and blogging. I have built a social media following of nearly 10,000 people on Instagram (@katelynn.lehman). My main focus is to provide motivation and inspiration to others who may also have type 1 diabetes. I also enjoy providing education and awareness to others who want to learn more about the disease.
