DESRs will primarily assist in sales and technical support of Arthrex DEX products. The DESR will be the technical expert for these products within the agency and will use their knowledge to educate customers, support agency employees and consult with surgeons in the operating room.  DESRs must maintain customer relations and establish new relations through constant communications and in-person appointments. The DESR is responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas within the team’s assigned territory.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Represent Empire Medical / Arthrex Inc by working in a fast-paced environment with teammates & a sophisticated audience comprised of healthcare professionals. 

* Increase territory results by building and maintaining strong business relationships with current and new customers.

* Responsible for being the main technical expert for all items within the DEX portfolio.

* Be available to take trauma call on a rotating team schedule.

* Attend surgeries to provide technical expertise and guidance to surgeons and operating room staff.

* Engage in continuous education of Arthrex surgical techniques and products.

* Identify the needs of new prospects and develop appropriate responses (written, telephone and face-to-face).

* Communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding a variety of topics, including product updates and changes to the product portfolio.

* Maintain an accurate proprietary customer relationship management (CRM) database, which includes forecasting, lead generation, and account maintenance.

* Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.

* Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.

* Maintain confidentiality of Empire Medical and patient/ account information as well as following company policies & procedures.

* Potentially attend sales meetings outside of regular business hours.

* Able to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s Degree required, unless prior medical device or surgical technician experience

* Preferred (but not required) Two years field experience in the orthopedic industry

* Aptitude for highly technical medical information and anatomy, as it relates to surgical procedures and equipment

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

* Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers concerns or objections

* Adaptable to fast paced environments / strong sense of urgency

* Must be comfortable in surgery/operating room

* Current Driver’s License

* Access to your own transportation
