Description

The primary role of the Sports Manager is to ensure that Reel Surgical reaches its annual sales initiatives in a balanced and efficient manner. Provide and execute the most straightforward and efficient process of launching new sports medicine-related technology while balancing existing technologies and relaunching existing products. The process will apply to all levels of Reel Surgical. Participate in and facilitate the training process of new and existing team members. The training will include but not be limited to products, sales techniques/strategies, and inspiration and motivation for maintaining the positive, growth-oriented team culture.

 

Skills and Responsibilities

 

  • Desire and willingness to help develop Reel Surgical to become the premier Arthrex Agency
  • Proficiency in all sports medicine-related products and intimate knowledge of the local and national sports medicine market
  • Achieve category-specific annual sales initiatives: Shoulder, Knee, and Capital Consumables
  • Work closely with all levels of Reel Surgical and the Arthrex Corporate team to formulate and carry out an effective annual sales strategy program for new and existing focus
  • Bring expert clinical and business knowledge directly to the field through ride-
  • Provide coaching reports to individual team members and the associated manager
  • Analyze and implement best field strategies
  • Utilize all available resources to develop strategic sports medicine-related sales direction and initiatives for the field
  • Create and manage all product Launch and Re-Launch initiatives per the Arthrex ECI Playbook
  • Implement a process for fast-tracking and onboarding new hires with sports medicine products
  • Create and implement quarterly Medical Education events for both the salesforce and HCPs
  • Collaborate with operations team members to efficiently manage and implement the best existing and incoming inventory strategies
  • High-level proficiency in associated software programs (COGNOS, Excel, PowerPoint, AXIS)
  • High-level understanding of the rest of Arthrex products, anatomy, and orthopedic pathology
  • Ability to present information effectively to large groups, individuals, and counterparts to motivate and inspire change
  • Able to work well within a dynamic team-oriented approach

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

Business Acumen

  • Represent Reel Surgical, an authorized agent of Arthrex, by working with a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons and healthcare professionals
  • Stay ahead of industry trends; including, but not limited to; surgical procedures, healthcare finance, and reimbursement, along with competitive products.
  • Participate in training of sales skills, product features/benefits, and other critical business applications
  • Educate Sales Reps and Managers regarding innovative products and procedures
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified internal candidates for future positions
  • Communicate strategy from Arthrex Regional Management and Reel Surgical Leadership to salesforce via NewsReel newsletter and in-person meetings
  • Create a culture of success through leading by example Client Relations
  • Foster client relations through proactive anticipation of account needs
  • Participate and assist sales managers and reps in sales calls, onsite and offsite surgical skills labs, demonstrations, networking events, etc
  • Communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding a variety of topics, including product updates and changes to the product portfolio
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with surgeons, operative team, OR office staff, and surgical administration

 

Sales

  • Maintain knowledge of the sales pipeline to assist in the allocation of the annual quota
  • Create and implement sales plans and effective marketing strategies to achieve sales quota
  • Create and Implement sales incentive bonuses to provide a focus on KPI products and procedures
  • Identify opportunities to support consulting surgeons in medical education
  • Ongoing communication of sales metrics at the District, Area, Territory, and Account level
  • Identify and educate potential Sports Leaders at the Area and Territory Level General
  • Support compliance and the principles of responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information; protecting the assets of the organization; acting with ethics and integrity; reporting non-compliance; and adhering to applicable federal, state & local laws and regulations, accreditation & licensure requirements, and company policies &

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of Medical Sales Experience (preferably Orthopedic)
  • 3+ years of Territory or Regional Management Experience
  • Current Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be comfortable in surgery/operating room environments
  • MS Office
  • Strong public speaking, a sense of urgency, and communication skills are
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
