Pinnacle Inc. is a Metro-Detroit based sales agency that is privileged to be the exclusive distributor of Arthrex medical products throughout Southeast Michigan.  We are committed to “helping surgeons treat their patients better” by focusing on surgeon education at our state-of-the-art surgical training laboratory, and after a decade of teaching thousands of orthopedic surgeons, we need someone to help support our ongoing initiatives of continuing to teach sales representatives and top surgeons skills they can use to create better lives for their patients.  

As a Surgical Technologist for Pinnacle Inc., you'll support all activities involving training and events in our surgical laboratory. Your goal will be to coordinate and host successful training events for hundreds of surgeons and sales representatives throughout the year. Your success will help expand our ability to host more training events, while simultaneously helping thousands of patients lead better lives.

As a Surgical Technologist for Pinnacle Inc., you will play an essential role in supporting the Medical Education Department initiatives to help sales representatives and customers be successful in their medical education training. In this role, you will be responsible for: 

  • Supporting sales representatives and customers in achieving all ongoing medical education initiatives. 
  • Overseeing the surgical laboratory schedule and promptly communicating confirmations, changes, and follow-ups with customers. 
  • Facilitating all surgical laboratory training and events from set-up to breakdown and providing a high-level of hospitality to all event attendees. 
  • Planning local and/or offsite educational events to increase customer knowledge of products and techniques. 
  • Updating all applicable databases to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. 
  • Maintaining surgical laboratory facility in a neat and orderly condition to ensure smooth operations; ensuring maintenance and repairs of all equipment. 
  • Anticipating needs and establishing priorities and courses of action to meet daily objectives. 
  • Controlling inventory levels for training and events through ordering and maintaining the proper number of supplies. 

 

*This role is strictly focused on helping sales representatives and surgeons train in an operating room environment but has no direct patient contact.*

Requirements

To be considered for this role, here are the skills we are looking for: 

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to three years of experience and/or training in orthopedics; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  College degree or surgical technician certification a plus.  
  • You can work occasional evenings or weekend days (generally fewer than 5 weekends per year). 
  • You are not afraid to handle a variety of anatomic specimens (human body parts, including bones and viscera). 
  • You thrive in a dynamic, face-paced work environment. 
  • You are an excellent communicator, both with internal and external parties. 
  • You are highly organized and have a strong attention to detail. 
  • You have basic computer knowledge with the tenacity to learn Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
