Description

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager and ensuring that the company’s consigned and owned inventory is maintained at the required level and such that the level of inventory is ideal and there are minimal lost or expired inventory expenses. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for internal inventory operations to meet daily sales teams and Cornerstone Medical Associates customer requirements. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organizing and maintaining inventory warehouse
  • Organize and process incoming and outgoing inventory shipments
  • Allocate and ship expired inventory 
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Analyze reconciliation reports 
  • Log transfers of inventory to other territories via Redspot
  • Find or relocate last-minute inventory requests
  • Perform cycle counts/inventory audits 
  • Occasional travel throughout territories in California, including weekend travel, required to perform cycle counts and annual audits
  • Check in surgical trays and implant kits and ensure the sets are full, accurate, and ready to return to the field
  • Courier medical device deliveries
  • Order and return loaners instrumentation from headquarters 
  • Maintains communication and cooperation across the organization to ensure departments and processes collaborate to meet corporate objective
  • Maintains accuracy of inventory systems. Updates par levels based on usage. Maintains inventory, working with sales representatives to ensure product replacement prior to product outdating- ensures adequate stock levels
  • Assists with cycle counts and year-end inventories as needed
  • Assists department head in cost containment by ensuring adequate inventory turns, minimizing obsolete inventory and product expirations, and reducing overall inventory values
  • May maintain information in the Materials Management System, including placing orders, looking up purchase orders, using a scanner and the system to place orders, and maintaining and creating item numbers
  • Must be available during the core work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Experience in administrative support role for at least 2 years

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Computer skills (use of web-based systems).
  • Effective written communication.
  • Effective verbal communication.
  • Customer/Client focus, both external and internal customers.
  • Personal accountability.

 

 Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

  • Current Driver’s license
  • Access to your own transportation
