Elevate Surgical, proudly representing Arthrex products and surgical techniques, is seeking a Field Operations Specialist to join our operations team in San Diego, California.

 

The goal of this position is to facilitate the ordering and receiving of inventory associated with medical device sales. It requires high attention to detail, and an understanding of the organization's goals when it comes to providing new technology to our customers. This position will be responsible for the stocking of products, the receipt of new requests from field sales representatives, and the coordination of all transactions within the inventory management software.

 

An Inventory Specialist receives, maintains, & prepares all packaged medical implant products. Must also be responsible for maintaining accurate digital inventory levels, and utilize tools to maintain accountability through audits and cycle counts. The inventory manager is expected to work closely with the warehouse manager when it comes to removing expiring products & re-stocking the warehouse based on par level/ordering determinations. In addition to the basic medical implant products, this position will be responsible for all biologic/tissue products. This will require compliance with FDA guidelines and detailed reporting practices.

 

Key Components:

  • Basic understanding of Inventory products and Stocking Requirements
  • Basic understanding of the Ordering and Receiving process related to inventory.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other operations staff and field sales representatives.
  • Coordination of Sales Rep Requests and preparation of products for dispensing.
  • Understanding of basic inventory management software.
  • Understanding of the basic life cycle of a sales order, how inventory is related, and how items are billed to customers.
  • Will need an understanding of Biologic and Tissue Inventory Operating procedures to maintain compliance with governing bodies.

 

Specific Job Duties & Expectations:

  • Pull/prep case requests from preference cards using a submitted transfer in Inventory Management Software
  • Check orders for incorrect inventory codes.
  • Return post-case transfers & verify the contents returning are in accordance with the original request
  • Receive & shelve all orders after manually scanning them into inventory management software
  • Physically check warehouse stock levels based on the Warehouse manager's monthly reporting requirements.
  • Replace/Facilitate Returns for Broken Instrumentation, or Expiring Products
  • Create inventory requests from under-stocked banks or cycle counts
  • Facilitate Logistics around Products in the field needed by teams
  • Understand Equipment used by teams, and manage loaned products or instruments between teams.
  • Utilize Software to Kit monthly expiring items & prep them for return
  • Assist with audits at accounts as needed
  • Assists with scheduling, dropping off inventory as needed.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of the Microsoft suite (specifically Word, PowerPoint, & Excel).
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple lines of communication
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and complete work assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adaptable and flexible with the ability to shift focus on new priorities.
  • Experience with Inventory Management Systems
  • Experience with detail-oriented work
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Clean Driving Record
