Elevate Surgical, proudly representing Arthrex products and surgical techniques in San Diego and Hawaii is seeking a Biologics Sales Specialist to join our team in San Diego. 

The Biologics Sales Specialist is to be proficient with all products and concentrate on driving sales revenue. This individual will be responsible for communication of both short/long term sales strategies to the agency. They will have a focus on developing the Biologics Specialist, TC, TS, and AR in the field through various interactions.  Continually identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies within sales, inventory, and surgeon education their primary responsibility is to educate large accounts and surgeons on the Ortho Biologics portfolio with a focus on initiatives from Arthrex Corporate.

 

Key Responsibilities

Manage Agency Business Strategy with Focus on Arthrex Key Initiatives:

  • Communicate continuum of care and benefits of healing through the Biologic product portfolio
  • Identify clear sales targets and communicate with the extended team through an annual business plan
  • Identify must win contract accounts within region (work with BDM)
  • Product launch strategy

 

Team Business Planning

  • Set up weekly/monthly business calls to discuss progress towards strategic goals. 
  • Manage sales updates on Axis 90-day Drive Report
  • Identify and solve weekly “Issues List”

 

Biologic Specialist Development

  • Invest time, energy, and communication building your team
  • Teach Leads how to think strategically about the business- review numbers and strategy to recognize holes in their development
  • Work on personal development goals and empower them to improve
  • Do through others and give the credit away
  • Reinforce ECI Sales Training and Process

 

Biologic Rep Training

  • Identify key areas of need for education and work with Med-Ed to execute
  • Involve the Territory Leads in developing their people
  • Present key initiatives to repeat strategy during these trainings
  • Field ride-a-longs to help learn skills essential to their position and place on the team
  • Reinforce ECI Sales Training and Process
  • Utilize the Arthrex Playbooks - No one reads them and they are gold.

 

Arthrex Product Cross- Training

  • Identify key individuals to attend cross - training platforms with Med-Ed 
  • Develop an attainable timeline for implementation focusing on the needs of each territory

 

Surgeon Consultant/KOL development

  • Maintain a presence with our key surgeon partners
  • Identify their key wants and needs with Corporate
  • Beta Products Project List
  • Case write up and content with TLs and Reps
  • Naples Surgeon Visit Coordination with Med-Ed

 

Corporate Relationship Management

  • Regular communication with National Director, Regional and Product Manager

 

Inventory Management

  • Oversight into warehouse Par levels, Product Utilization, and decision on what we carry 
  • Update inventory definitions, maximize sales, and minimize redundant products
  • Manage tray allocations—what to do when resources are limited?
  • Yearly product audits (at minimum) with the operations team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required unless prior medical device or surgical technician experience
  • 5+ years of sales experience with Arthrex or another Medical Device Company
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Aptitude for highly technical medical information, anatomy, as it relates to surgical procedures and equipment
  • Adaptable to fast-paced environments / strong sense of urgency
  • Must be comfortable in surgery/operating room

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Current Driver’s License
  • Access to your own transportation
  • COVID Vaccination or Exemption Required at Healthcare Facilities in San Diego
