The position can have a wide range of responsibilities. The focus of this job is on producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential requiring patience and a willingness to handle and complete one task at a time. Communication with others is based on knowledge of repetitive job routines and procedures gained from sufficient on the job experience. The job environment promotes steady, methodical work output so that job routines can be completed on time and error- free.

As a Service Technician you will interact with customers, company sales, and/or service representatives to handle a variety of pre-sales or post-sales service functions. ST will be responsible for the daily service and maintenance of Arthrex related endoscopy equipment. ST will provide front-line support in regard to troubleshooting of equipment and contact Synergy Support team to create trouble tickets where troubleshooting does not resolve issue. ST will be responsible for the processing of returns (RMA) and exchanges of Arthrex endoscopy equipment for the account through Product Surveillance and make certain that all Arthrex return/exchange requirements are met. ST will own process to completion by confirming the status of returned materials to ensure account’s inventory is up to date. ST will upload most current database software version as needed upon release to ensure equipment has the latest functionality and enhancements. This position can include sales opportunities and evolve into a sales representative role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform Arthrex’s standard preventative maintenance services on all Synergy Imaging and OR integration equipment to keep the products in good operating condition;
  • Provide Arthrex’s free, ongoing, electronic software upgrades as they become available;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Customer and product issues related to Synergy equipment in accordance with Arthrex’s User Manuals, Equipment Set-Up Guides and written specifications;
  • Document equipment service results in order to maintain accurate quality records;
  • Continual training of Customer’s staff on the safe and effective use of Arthrex’s Synergy products;
  • Coordinate the repair, replacement and/or return of Synergy products that require service directly through Arthrex;
  • Implementation and installation of Customer purchases of new products and/or additional purchases from Arthrex, including setting up equipment and software;
  • If desired upon specific customer request, other responsibilities can be discussed and agreed upon to help make the operating room more efficient. A short list of possibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Helping turnover rooms
    • Helping ensure the proper equipment was pulled on case carts prior to the case
    • Helping with setup and execution of specific requirements within the robot rooms
    • Helping certain products get processed and sterilized in the event that the customer is short-handed that day for that product
    • Pulling items needed from the core and bringing to specific operating rooms during a case

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and complete work assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Must be adaptable and flexible with ability to shift focus on new priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be team oriented and have had past successful experience working in a team environment.
  • Must have good organizational and time management skills.
