Duties:

 

  • Sets up and cleans lab(s)
  • Facilitates instruction of techniques during lab events
  • Orders food, literature, PPE, samples, instrumentation, sawbones, and specimens
  • Receives and keeps record of specimens
  • Tracks and reports spending for lab events
  • Bills hosting Team(s) for lab events
  • Develops study aides for Sales Reps
  • Maintains and develops business relationships

 

 

Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
  • Understanding of inventory, logistics, and timelines
  • Basic knowledge of human anatomy
  • Arthrex product knowledge

Main Objective: To provide organizational skills and support in maintaining the Sequoia Surgical Bioskills lab.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the Arthrex product line.
  • Organize and conduct surgeon training events.
  • Perform lab set-up, breakdown, and cleansing of lab equipment.
  • Responsible for inventory management, which includes ordering new products, and replacing missing, damaged, and obsolete components.
  • Assist in the training of surgeons using Arthrex products.
  • Service and support all Arthrex capital equipment
  • Full understanding and implementation of a contamination protocol.
  • Ensure that the lab facility represents Arthrex and Sequoia Surgical as the leader in the industry.

Requirements

Education and Experience: BS in Management or Bio-Medical Sciences, or possesses related lab experience. Able to show progression towards an in-depth knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures. Experience in the orthopedic industry preferred.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: Ability to logistically manage a lab environment independently. Aptitude to teach and develop orthopedic training skills.

 

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: PCs and have a command of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word plus any additional communications equipment as needed.

 

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Mathematical Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

 

Language and Communication Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
